Hi,

I don't know much about the tanks so please forgive my ignorance, but you said you went out for a tank battle. Is this how I imagine? Whereby if you shoot the other person it imobilises there tank or something. I ask because I have heard of these MFU (Multi Function Units????) they have, is this one of the functions?

Either way great pictures and it looked like a fun day out.

The battle system interacts with the MF and DMD unit.  The MF unit controls how fast the tank can fire (3sec 5sec 9sec) -and- damage taken (3hits 5 hits 9 hits).  Also the MF will ready(rarely) partial hits and glancing blows.  The pod above the turret takes readings from the other tanks ir unit which is mounted on the barrel.  As the tank gets hit things like speed and engine sounds will change as well.

HOWEVER - this system is far from perfect.  As your batteries get lower the recieving tank will start taking more hits.  I don't know how or why this happens but it does.  The delay between another tank shooting and the impact gets farther apart.

THAT SAID - the system is really cool and the best and only system out there.  Tamiya multifunction units and kits = to our fathers lionel trains.

The tank battles look well cool, pity about the limitations when the batteries get low, as you say. Great actions shots, have you done a movie too, i think you should there will be a lot of iterest i think!
