My 1st race meet

I raced at my first meet since i was about 12 years old on Wednesday night, i've bought myself a TT01 chassis and added a 27t motor, bearings a few ally parts and went along to my local club in Basildon with my brother whos getting back in RC too.

We both raced in the novice class with mixed fortunes, i didn't have a bad night winning all 3 races...only 4 cars running so not as quite as good as it sounds, my brother on the other hand didn't finish a race [] going out after a lap each race with pinion gear problems.....no different to when we were kids really.

Anyway, we both really enjoyed the evening and plan on going back next week, once we improve a bit we'll around to a few other clubs too!

I've just started racing M-03's, great fun isnt it.

Keep us updated on your results and remember wining is wining be it against four or fourteen.

I can see i'm going to get addicted to this....i've bought myself a Gravel hound to chase the dog with over the park (he's not such a fan), i'm bidding on a few differant chassis on ebay and i've got my eye on a couple of other off roaders, possibly a DF03 or....dare i say it.....a team losi 4wd....

Look out for a local Mini club or approach your club to see if they would start a Mini series up, it is really good fun. Its not like any other racing ive done, quite a different style.

Welcome to the racing leagues deank93.  I haven't been racing that long but I've enjoyed almost all the races I've been in. Not to enjoyable when you crash yourself out.

Hey,

I'd love to get into some novice class racing.  Just wondering, how is the mini racing different in style?  I'm asking because I'd like to get together with some friends and have us all buy the same car. I'm leaning towards the mini, but am also considering a basic 4wd touring car.
