Hi there!

All those that have any idea where Tullamore is?? If you do GREAT, (if you don't, get a map! ) then come along over the Easter weekend for Australias biggest ever meeting of TamiyaClub members (hopefully!!) I think the record stands at 4 ?? (we are gunna SMASH IT!!!)

In conjuction with the Tullamore Irish Festival www.tullamoreinc.com.au/irishfestival.php I will be displaying R/C cars, staticly and RACING for the crowds... We also have some hobby shops from nearby towns joining in on the fun..... An outdoor race track will be purpose built, with the organisers putting up some great prizes (from hobby shops etc)

So come on people, pull ya fingers out and get to Tullamore NSW... Check the website, as they have great onsite camping available plus hotels/motels etc....

I don't wanna hear any sob stories like, its too far, kids aren't old enough, dont like camping...blah blah blah... just DO IT...>!!!!!!

My wife and 2 small kids (1.5 yrs, 0.5 yrs) will be coming along, camping at the grounds (in a kombi) and we are gunna have a ball.... (no we aren't Irish, we just love getting out and about, did i mention GUINNESS...)

Looking forward to discussing this further with any interested members..

Cheers Craig.

MY WORD!!!!

What is wrong with you guys from down under?????????

 Come on, answer the man.

Craig, if l could drive there l would be there. My motto is "have car, will travel" as Biggusditchus from the North West Nutters will testify. About 580 miles round trip and it was worth it.

So come on you Aussie folk, drive to this place.......your gas prices are cheaper than what we pay in England to.

Sounds cool - on road track or off road? I'll have to check my calendar.

Looks like the place will be pretty crowded for accommodation there with the festival on, unless you're willing to camp.

And, it means crowds of spectators - when you crash!

I tried getting a Sydney meet happening before since there are both on road and off road venues near me, but had only a couple of people who seemed interested. So good luck getting Aussie TC members off their butts, we're going to need it!

If I was there, then I would make the trek from Sydney! Come on folks!

As you know from my vintage racing posts I currently work in Europe. Otherwise I would join you.

I have been back in Syd for the past month for medical reasons, but don't have my cars with me. sob! [:'(]

I did check out the offroad track at the Showground, Mona Vale, last friday night. But no one was there. [:$]

Support TC meets and get together!   Good luck and have fun! [:D]

Definitely working on getting an OFF-ROAD track happening....

There is a ton of accomadation available, either in a room, or bring a tent!!

We will be camping out in a kombi.

I have a boomerang runner, a Blazing Star runner and no doubt a vintage PB mustang doing the rounds.

Did i mention PRIZES!!! $300 worth????

It is a great time of year, not too hot, not too cold...

Did i mention GUINESS by the truck load!!!!

mmmmmmmmmmm, guiness, mmmmmmmmmmm![8-)]

Oooh, tempting! I'd have a Frog, Fox, Falcon, Super Shot, Top Force and possibly a Dyna Storm if I can get it built.

Do you have a schedule of dates/times for the RC events yet?

And, mmmmmm... Guinness...

No such schedule as yet....

We will be there for the whole duration of the festival, trackside, giving inpromtu demos to the crowd....

As far as the racing goes, I would assume that heats would be run throughout the three days?? with finals being run every arvo or culminating in a Grand Final close to the end of the festival....

I really cant give you much else, I am waiting on some more info from the co-ordinator of the festival....

Cheers Craig.

I'm not going to be able to make this unfortunately *sob* due to other commitments. I will have to lift a Guinness to you from afar.

Hope you have a blast though!

When will it ever be possible to get a decent TC Aussie meet going?

Stuart,

Just did the calculation.... return trip from my place to Tullamore, NSW.... 1485kms.... just under 925 miles round trip..... would love to come, but missus would probably not be there when I return......

I do agree though, it is about time to have a proper Aussie meet...
