History Repeating - FAV Stylee

Wow. I'm stunned. Following a few messages back and forth with a gentleman on eBay, and a quick trip 10 miles down the road, I am the very proud owner of a staggering quality FAV, and the exact same radio gear that I used to own too. In fact this time around I also have a box, manual and decals which I didn't with the one from my youth.

To say it was a bargain is doing a disservice to bargains. Anyone who knows me knows that I am terminally short of cash so it had to be! Barring the paint flaking in places, it's almost totally mint. Everything is there, arms, steering wheels, springs, gun etc. All the wires are carefully routed and cable-tied. The bumper, bottom of the chassis, rear of the car, the entire thing is scratch free. In fact if it wasn't for the paint flaking it's a new built shelf-queen. Even the tyres still have the hard edges.

The gentleman I purchased it off was kind enough to charge the battery and give me a demonstration. The box contains the manuals for car/battery/acoms, all the sprues and spare parts neatly bagged and labelled.

VB is a happy bunny!! (and also 12 again [] ).

Thanks Pete. I certainly was rather desperate lol. So desperate I've delayed being able to get the radio gear for a couple of weeks. Still, I thought it was a bargain for such a quality example so can't really complain (even if my itch to run my Thunder is even greater now I've had a quick fiddle with this).

Excellent stuff ,reminds me of the deal i got many years ago - a complete FAV ,hand painted, all radio fitted £10, which was still well cheap even that long ago , i wish i'd kept it .So to set things right i got another bargain a couple of years ago, FAV with box ,manual, batteries,etc,Wild one body set- £30 all in - (no radio though) .Bargains can still be had . Good luck with the restoration on your winner Vonblade ,not that it needs much by the look of it []
