TT-01 Motor Questions...

Ok..

Ive got a couple of motors and would like to ask some questions...

Here is what I have .. 2 Stock 540 Mubachi's, 21T, 20T, 15T, &11T.

I would like something that gives me the best speed.With stock gearing Ive used the 15T and It seems quick on takeoff and then its top speed is prob like 14mph. The stockers are faster than it? Then the 21T and 20T actualy have really good speed prob 19-20mph. The 11T is Awesome 30mph but it requires way to much maitinence.

I would like to get a 17T or 19T or something that doesnt need so much matinence. I know what gears Im gonna get 55S & 25P and That should get me a good speed.

But I guess what Im wondering is what is the best all around motor? Ive looked at the brushless but its way to much Money for my Pocket book.

Their is someone that is running a TT-01 , 17T with "speed gearing" and can keep up with nitro cars?  I would like to do that!

hay what other mods have u done to your car? i have a tt-01 with ball bearings, alloy prop, alloy oil dampers, universal shafts, rear ball diff, adjustable upper arms, front and rear stabiliser set, carbon top deck, adjustable steering, and ball bearing steering link, also i have a carbon rear lower deck, and i have ran a 21t pro stock, a 15x2, and currently a 12x2, all have ran with standard gearing, and the 12x2 with a 55s and 24p, and all i have to do is keep a stop of new gears, i have found that the standard gearing give awsome acceleration with the 12x2 in it, thou i am hoping to do some more tirals with gearing soon :-)

Ive got ball bearings, Carbon upper deck, Alloy prop, Steel U joints, adjustable steering kit, Alloy Motor mount, and heat sink, and Flouride dampers.

Thats about it. Ive been running stock gears but want a higher top speed with a 17T.

Will 55S and 24P give me a higher top speed?

Your right about having a stock of gears. Im in my 3rd set and only drive the car in good weather. Ive had the car for 2 years.

Let me know about how you liked the 55 and 24 set up.

In my TT01 i have a 13x2 motor, the chassis has Ali Prop, Bearings, Low Friction Dampers and an alloy motor mount.

I'm running a 19T Pinion, and the stock spur, but the motor gets a little warm after a hard run, so i'll probably drop down to a 18T or 16T pinion.

Oh, and it flies!

You cant go lower than a 19T pinion!
