Re re Brat chrome chassis?

 I was looking at the pictures of the re re Brat on Tamiya`s website and it looks like the chassis is chromed. The re re Brat on display at Shizouka had a normal chassis on it. Looking at the M03R is appears to also be chrome. Has anybody seen the real thing in Germany.just wondering as i know some members went there.

might make it limited edition only 1000 produced that would mean every scalper that is not into tamiya RC will buy them and sell them for 10x price.......we better keep this hush so other folks who come on this board looking to sell them wont know.....shhh......[]

Didn't Tamiya already make a chrome ORV chassis? I've seen a couple on King Blackfoots.

I'd guess it's a rare hopup, kind of like my clear TL-01 chassis and shocks.

here a link to Tamiya Japan and it shows the M03R,but in the corner of the picture it looks to say something about chrome chassis.But you cant see anything about the Brat other than a plain chassis.

The Chrome ORV chassis set were produced by tamiya at the same time as the Re-Re Frog was released. They were only available in Japan as Special Event items.

They also produced a Silver chassis set as well, this can be confused with the Chrome one, as in certain light they look the same.

The Chrome one is chromed grey plastic and the Silver one is Silver plastic. You can tell the difference, if you scrap a bit of the plastic sprue with a knife.

As a guide the Silver ones have sold on ebay for £40-50 and the Chromes ones £60-80

On topic again, wow, let's disco with our chrome chassis! I will get a Brat, an a VW an a RX7 an a Scania an a TNX 5.22 an a new job!!! I am officially jobless as of Fex 8. So the list of car purchases looks like it will shrink to just the Brat and VW. I need to get some radio gear, cause from what I can tell, Japan is the only place you can get a radio set with AMP for under $90. So I will take four thanks.

Thought someone might be interested in this- 

Jason just listed some in his store that are described as 'first run' aand apparently sport a 'silver metal' chassis.

The first run have a sticker on the side stating,metal plated parts first run only...........if someone in the UK wants one of these i bought two,but am selling one.

At last the F-350 is here, now the Brat on order

, just pre ordered the full option Scania, and.. still waiting on a chance to get

the regular Scania without the MFU and do not forget the new Panther tank.

So nice, collecting the entire rig and tank range complete, a bit hard only if they bring out a new

How much did Jason want for his chassis?  Another tamiyaclub member Simon- is trying to tell me he wants $180 GPB for one ---I think he is on crazy drugs!  Please let me know if I am off base.

Hi Petris,

I got one of Jason's first run re-re's with the chrome chassis, it was $187 dollars (£97GBP) - This was with shpping costs.

I expect import tax and parcelforce fees will add another £30 GBP to the price, so if that is the case it will really be about £130 ish

No i am not on crazy drugs![][]........ I hope you find one,,but i doubt it now..................although i will have another on ebay soon,with no reserve...you never know you might pick it up for £50!!!!...oh no its those crazy drugs kicking in again!!!![][]
