Cleaning Tips Required

Recommended Posts

[:S]Hi

Just came back from my 1st outing with my 'Hornet' which is now ditched. My question is what is the best cleaning method for removing mud easily without doing any damage to the electronics. Is it just a case of plenty of water & patience or can anybody suggest any cleaning products I could get.

Cheers

Dave

Hi mate, toothbrushes are very handy at getting rid of heavy mud (especially from wheels/tyres) and paint brushes (long bristles) are good for dust and raking out stones and debris from awkward nooks and crannies!

I get toothbrushes from Morrisons for 16p!!!

Also as long as the elecs are removed, or waterproofed, dont be shy about being generous with the water.

Any more questions, fire away!

Cheers

Compressed air is a wonderful option espically for dusty cars in between runs as its quick and effective.

If its mud then hot water on a constand half tap really washes away the mud, dnt use a water blast as there is less control of where the mud ends up.

Also pipe clearners are very effective for moving parts.

cheers Ryck
