Hey there and welcome back!

well, £20 for a bush devil isn't to bad, allthough its never been a popular truck - probably due to its nasty lexan truck shell, and those pink wheels.

The devil is 1/10 scale, the lunchbox is 1/12. the wheelbase of the lunchbox van shell is too short for the bush devils chassis, unless your going for a special look. (it might look a little odd [:P]) You would also need to come up with a way to mount the bodyshell.

The bush devil is basicly a SUPER blackfoot with a lexan shell, pink wheels and a blue chassis frame. The chassis frame itself is part of the "frog family" cars (blackfoot, monster beetle, frog, brat etc) and is very strong.

The gearbox of the super blackfoot/bush devil is also very tough, not like the original blackfoot gearbox.

Some suspension parts are specific to the super blackfoot and the bush devil (front suspension and steering espicially) - they are not that easy to find. Most other parts are compatable with the KING blackfoot, which is basicly an updated version of the bush devil.

Hope that helps a bit!

Sounds like you got yourself a good deal (if I'd have spotted it on the 'bay, I'd have snapped it at that price too [:D])

For that money I'd forget modifications for now, just stick a battery in and go play.  I was never a huge fan of the Frog chassis with monster truck wheels and suspension (I had a Mud Blaster when I was a kid and all it did was roll over and understeer) but a £20 RTR basher is good value in my book [:)]

I'd imagine a Super Blackfoot shell would drop straight on it if you fancied a hard body (check the manuals on the homepage and see if you need different body posts) and possibly Blackfoot, King Blackfoot, Subaru Brat, or Monster Beetle, with the right modifications - but the Bush Devil looks good for lexan, and won't break so easy.

Also you might be able to paint your pink wheels - altho personally I think they're quite cool.  I'm told Tamiya polycarb silver works well for a brushed alluminium look, and due to its flexible nature won't scratch off like acrylic paints - I will be trying this on some yellow wheels soon. [:)]

Best of luck [:D]

I used to have a Bush Devil. How can I put this politely? They are not the best drives! As standard, they bounce around and have no traction, and don't even wheelie very well. The body mounts are a bit hopeless and the lexan bodyshell tends to sway from side to side.

However, some oil filled dampers helped a LOT, and I ended up tucking some weighted metal plates at the base of the chassis so it had some traction to get it over off road surfaces better. It was a lot more fun then.

Keep the pink wheels - there are a bit different to the other Tamiyas! [:D]
