I regret selling my old m01 mini. Its was pritty worthless but it was my first real rc car and it had real sentimental value.[:(]

What about cars you regret not buying. For me it would have to be a mint TA01 Ford Cosworth that I was ofered of 75 quid.

Tupers.

I haven't sold my Rcs yet but do regret leaving my Tamiyas in my Parent's basement for all these years after I left home. I had a Grasshopper and Blackfoot and my brother had a Bruiser and I could only find the Blackfoot. Now that's real regret!! If I had only grabbed the RCs when i moved out!!! sigh... i wouldn't be so heart sick right now. The Grasshopper was my first real RC and, well. the Bruiser is the bruiser.

My brother has no idea where the other 2 are at... I have my suspicions!!! [8o|]haha

hmm i dont really have any regrets for selling anything major - Still got my first tamiya TT01 tho it was sold to my cousin before I got it back.

I kinda regret turning down an offer on one of my rally cars for 250 Euro from someone in france - Still its fun to drive and hopefully the other one will go for some gd money.

Anyone realing burning for a TB01?

Cheers Ryck

I could use a chassis for my Lancia Delta...

On topic, my answer is no. The only time I ever regretted selling a car was when I sold a Clod after a full strip and clean and one run... I didn't like the way it handled and I needed cash. Then a couple years later I bought another Clod... again I ran it once and hated it, so I parted it out, sold the parts, and did not regret selling either one (made money on both).

Oh yeah, that.

Not so much... Minis just aren't my thing. Even if I got it back I'd never run it much, it'd probably end up getting sold again. I always feel a twinge of something when I see a car I've sold pop up in a showroom or a FS ad. But I get over it.

Sometimes I regret letting my old Hilux go - it was repairable, and would have been a fun project, but the money bought me my Pumpkin which I'd always wanted, and my TT01 drifter which I'd wanted since getting back into the hobby (and have since used once...)

Other than that, I regret that my parents got rid of my old near-complete Mud Blaster at a boot sale.  the body was absolutely shot, but the chassis was complete and undamaged - just needed rebuilding with ball bearings and it would have been a good donor for a Blackfoot project.  Plus it was my first NIB Tamiya, so it had a bit of sentimental value...

I do....it was a Peugeot 406 1/10 tourer..and I sold everything...including a fast charger etc for the measly sum of something like £40.......I didn't have a very acute business acumen back then.....dammit....

The XR311, my first Tamiya car, which I sold when I was a teenager for a paltry sum. But now I've managed to get another one at a decent price, and I can do the resto on that, so I'm not that upset any more [:D]

the mountaineer I bought off ebay RTR for 400 shipped with extra parts.  I then sold it off made about 1000 dollars from it I regret it becuase it something you cant replace and hard to find to make up for it.  I bought another one in good shape for 630 shipped a bruiser....

I try never to dwell on things I have no control over, and if I decide to sell something, that's it gone, move on.

BUT, I did win the Scottish on road champs back in 1995, and a couple of year later I sold the car and the body shell that I had used to win.

That bugged me, I should have some sort of reminder of that title.  I was very surprised a couple of years later to see the same bodyshell back on E-Bay for sale, I won it, got in touch with the seller who told me he hadn't used it much, I was thinking oh well, at least it'll look similar to how I had it painted and stickered. Imagine my surprise when it turned up EXACTLY the same as the day I sold it !!!

Moral of the story I suppose is to keep the things that mean something, everything else is just stuff.

regrets selling my 962C (a kyosho 2wd with 4W independent suspension and scale gearbox case).., my TF2-R, my full hopped up TA01 (Converted from DF01), my landmax Lancer. But o well, those were the hard days. Also regret letting go my full opt FW05RR.

Then again now I got a full mod FF01, full mod TA03F, box stock TA03RS, a TF2/3, a TF4R, an FW04, and a Spider Mk.2 WCE, a vanguard, and a pro3 complete with spares.

I sold my blinged up Clod Buster on Flea Bay, I regret selling it sooooo much!

I will get another one! Next time I think I will get a crawler.

Worse than that was I traded my Optima Mid Turbo SE when I was at uni for a Tamiya buggy with all the radio gear (F**k knows what I was thinking)!

Two for me.

First one wa a HPI RS4 Mini. I had a Tozai Mistubishi Lancer Evo 4 body and a Kawada Lotus Elan S2 body for it, and even with a 19t, it would regularly be the fastest car at my local club.

I sold it becuase I killed off the Mini class with it, nobody wanted to race against it, even when I ran it without the rear belt!

Second regretted sale is spookily similar. It was an Xray T1M, the one Dez Chand reviewed in Radio Race Car. This time, it killed off the regular touring car 27t class, becuase with a mild 13t and 4 cells, it carried a shedload more corner speed, even though it'd get whooped in a straight line by the 6 cell 27t cars. Had a Tozai Toyota Supra and Nissan Skyline R34 on that one.

I got back into this hobby a few years ago with a beaten up old Terra Scorcher which I was quite attached to, but wasn't really using, so I gave it (for nothing) to a member on here who wanted a project, but didn't have much money. Unfortunately he broke part of it pretty quick and then tried to sell it. I asked him if I could have it back as he didn't want it and he said he'd decided to keep it. Funnily enough it disappeared from his showroom soon after...

Thought I was doing somebody a favour, but you live and learn...

I definitly regret the sale of an Avante i had bought for 150 euro's. In that buy there was:

-Egress body (NEW), Avante in parts (NEW), box, Technigold (NEW), Dynatech 02H (NEW), Hi-Cap dampers (NEW), Vanquish body (NEW) , almost an other complete Avante in parts (NEW).

I have sold all the stuff and got big money for it. The money i recieved was spend on all cars i now have in my collection, but i'm also collecting parts for a new build Avante again[:)] Ok, i'm very proud of my collection, but 150 euro for a new build Avante was a bargain!!

Well, we have to keep dreaming on stuff we want, so i just switch of the regrets and continue collecting NIP Avante parts.

Selling?? I GAVE IT ALL AWAY when I was 18 and moved out.  [:o] [:'(]  [:$] [:$] [st]

Modified winning Super Astute

JPS Road Wizard

King Cab - raced it too!

Clod buster

Fox

Kyosho Gallop MKII

And my first ever car, FAV.   [:$] [:$] [:$]

Not so much the cost - if another kid had fun with it then great, but I'd love to see the Super A, JPS and the FAV again.

I sold a complete Astute, which I had restored, for $50.  The car had sentimental value as it was my childhood favorite.  But I was into racing and couldn't justify what I was spending without selling my old stuff.

I also sold a nearly-new Yokomo YZ10 for $75.  I had no emotional attachment to that one, but in retrospect I would have held out for twice that much.

I regret selling my King Blackfoot, big time. Was really my first proper Tamiya, certainly my first proper offroader, and it was the first R/C that I built completely by myself.  Had so much fun with it - wheelies, jumps, bumps (steer [:D]), and breaking it. Always think you never properly know your R/C until you break it and have to repair it, which I certainly did with the KB.

I ended up trading it and a couple of other bits for a Kyosho Ultima GP nitro buggy with my LHS which was a big dissapointment. Worst thing was that my LHS had it for sale in their window for ages afterwards, so everytime I walked past/in a stared at it longingly, wondering if I should by it back. Although that had some cheek to sell it for more than I sold it to them, I suppose they've gotta make profits!

****, why oh why did I sell it!?

my first car was an audi quattro and i was around eleven when i built it with my dad. i loved that car especially how it had a driver figure which made it more realistic to me. the thing would flip over at the drop of a hat and the stock tires weren't great for dirt but it was fun. problem was as parts broke either i couldn't fix them or lost interest not sure so i think i threw it away! the really bad part is now 20 years later parts of it have turned up; a driver figure, a piece of the manual all to remind me  of that fact that i no longer have it!
