I'm going for the man from Arizona, John McCain.

In my office we have a lot of debats. Boss is a democrate and wants Obama.  Lots of late chats debating about what's best for the country and our beliefs. Just wanted to start a thread to debate.

Cartman or Meatwad I reckon

Twinset,

If you remember the episode of southpark about reverse digestion..... and listen to the current el Presidente... you may surmise that Cartman already IS in charge!

I vote Hillary... Clinton, not Duff... Lord knows, the world needs to laugh more...

Hillary Clinton for President.  The American people will get two president for the price of one and Bill will be the First Gentleman ever.  But this time around Hillary will make sure all the Interms or Pagers are all male.

A.B.H. for president. . . Anyone But Hillary

As a New Yorker I despise how she has used this state to promote her own career.  She is cold, calculating, scripted and fake, As much as I hate her style and views, I would rather do the right thing and keep her here in NY then let her get to Washington.

But I'm not too opinionated.

I will vote for a candiate that stands firm and is not swayed by all the whiny liberals in this country

It really looks like Clinton and Obama will be the ones to watch on the democratic ticket.  I really think this is a mistake though.  Clinton has too much baggage and there are too many rednecks in this country that won't stand to see either a woman or an African American president.

shouldn't you be voting for the candidate who's platform you most agree with...not some vauge and abstract notion based on gut feelings?

it seems that, like last year...it's a choice between whiny liberals or conservatives who are held firmly in the pockets of the corporate behemoths.

so we should just write off a woman and a black man because a few "rednecks" won't stand to see them in office?

That is a huge over generalisation. Most politicians whether democrat or republican are beholden to the interests which helped get them elected.

My previous comment on voting for someone who holds strong got his beliefs was a reference to John Kerry.  I didn't care for his stance on issues that I find most important and his air of arrogance led to his downfall.  If he was so much better than Bush, why didn't he win by a landslide.

I can hear the locking now..

To be honest, i wouldn't mind someone who is honest, loyal and not selfish, but then again, we have to dream :)

I'll make my decision when we've changed Prime Minister and USA change President, see if the Bush/Blair duo are really THAT bad.

as bush and clinton were with "no child left behind" hmmm?

i won't respond to the second half as it's more of the same ol' republican finger pointing as always.  it's always teh dems, the liberal, the centrists, the libertarian conservatives, the moral majority.....

the reps should practice what they preach and try to be a bit more responsible.

just watch....some dem gets in office and they'll finger point about iraq until the cows come home.....as they'd say in the united states of texas.
