Just wondering if anywhere other than Model Shops sell CA Glue?

I need some to glue my cells in my saddle pack together and CA Glue is what I was advised to get.

Some DIY shops sell ca I think I saw it at B&Q a while ago. personaly I would use hot glue because it is a little less perminent and looks quiet nice.[:D]

CA is the exact same as SuperGlue, Realisticly though CA might be a bit brittle for battery packs. Like Tupers suggested, You would be better off with hot glue or even trying epoxy if you want the cells permanently bonded

I use Fender Mender or Shoe Goo for my cell packs. Using a cocktail stick, I dribble it in between the cells. Bonds well, and it's flexible enough to allow the cells to flex without snapping the glue join. Fender Mender is getting hard to get hold of in the UK, but I think that you can still get Shoe Goo from a DIY store.

there is no need to glue saddle packs together, the battery bars will hold everything in place, it helps to have a little give in the pack anyway as it makes it easier to get them in the car. Also if you glue the shrink it may rip off which is not desirable.

I disagree. With only the bars holding the pack together, the joint could get brittle and fall apart. It's advised to doubleshrink each individual cell, then use a flexible glue, like Shoo Goo, to join the cells together. When you need to take them apart, slice off the top shrink layer, and you'll be left holding a clean, bare cell.

What about the end cell that has only one bar attached? the middle cells would be ok but the end one wouldnt be very strong.

Your batteries should be strapped in anyway so it really doesn't matter.

And don't double shrink because all you do is increase the cell temperature and make the pack bigger so it won't fit so well in the chassis.
