Photos of 24hr race last weekend

Last weekend from Sat 12pm to Sun 12pm.

 

It was touring car only and the TRF team here competed against the XRays and other makes. I visited the TRF team for a few hours.

If it was buggy I would have particpated, as I thought 24hrs of touring would be boring. Having seen it, I have to say I was happy with my thoughts. Yes, the TCs are fast and handle great but it was a looooong rythmic 24hrs of driving. I need the excitement of jumps! for such a long period.

CHECK OUT THE BATTERIES!!!  Team TRF had 35 packs and were changing them every 8 minutes!!!! [] []   That's where alot of work went in!!

In my 2hrs there the only TRF casualty was a drive belt. Took about 3mins to change and get out again.  They had shocks and driveshafts in stacks as the main expected spares. 8 sets of tires were given to each team.

I will get and post up the results and list of main parts worn out in a few days. [au]

How many drivers were allowed per car?

BTW at 1/10 scale does that work out to 240hrs. of racing?[]
