I don't mind the stock motor in my Lunch Box but I just need a little more... speed. So in order to bring a little more power to my Lunch Box I put a spareTraxxas 20-turn motor in it. One word describes the performance "WOW"! Now for the dilema, my motor and speed controller heated like a fire cracker after only five minutes. Am I pressing my Lunch Box's limits?[*-)]

More like pushing your speed controller I would say.  What speed controller are you using, if its electronic, is it suitable for 20T motors?  Ive had an 11T in my Blackfoot before now, firstly with an MSC which wasnt suitable at all and I had to keep resting it due to the heat in resistor, motor and battery (but it was nice to warm the hands on a cold day ;-) ), then with an ESC (Mtronics Viper Tempo 11) that went to 11T and that was fine.

The TEU101 probably won't last long running a 20T motor...  Better

replace it with somethingmore suited to that kind of current [:)]

I had porblems with the TEU101 esc.  I was running what I thought to be a 23T motor which turned out to be a 21T and it overheated a lot to the point of only short runs would mean it would cut out.  Eventually some of the wires burnt through.  I would highly recommend the Mtroniks esc's, they run well, have lots of features and have a good price. I use mine in all my cars and just swap it about so you may as well get one that goes to 11T or even no limit for if you want to get faster motors, even the one I split for twin motors runs perfectly with no overheating.
