Anyone got an Otaki 1/12th RC Pontiac Firebird ? It was my first ever RC, wondered if i'd ever see one again? Mine got sold after I bought my Scorcher [:(]  needs must when your a kid. They also made a Lamborgini LP400, Mustang Mach 1 and a BMW 3.5CSL but when I got mine from Howes model shop in Oxford only the Pontiac was left to choose from! Still, I was well chuffed with it. For £60 I got the car and an Acoms radio set.

bakaguyjean I think your the man! Do you own a model shop or something!?!?! maybe it's an RC collectors goldmine!? I cant see too much from the picture (but i can see the dust on it!) Mine had rubber tyres as I recall, does that one? have you also a picture of the chassis - I remember flimsy metal curved rear wheel covers on it and i think my wheels were finished in chrome. More pictures would be great if you can, and some of the box too if you wouldnt mind. Thanks for replying,, I appreciate it! Wow. I especially remember the spread eagle decals, they were great!

Richyt, you got that from another TC member if my research memory does me right? I was searching around to see what i could find on google and yours came up. I never actually saw one (lambo) in the flesh but reckon it'll be the same chassis as the firebird. Nice going and thanks for replying to my post,,, i honestly didnt expect much if any reaction!

Back in the day it wasnt fast compared to the competition and it slid around alot on the wooden floor when I went to my local RC racing club on a sunday evening (held at our youth club) but i 'raced' it all the same. Painted it Gold first and later went for red.

Any more pictures of the wheels, chassis etc?

Wouldnt worry about your extra posts, it makes the thread look busy! Otherwise you need to email netsmith the owner of the site with the link to your post and he will fix it for you.
