many thanks for any replies.

No the Hight Lift does not come with a ballrace set iys comes with brass bushes. Yes I wouls say go for a high torque servo espeshily if you want to use the 4ws function on it. Hope this helps.

a stronger servo saver is a MUST, the kit supplied one is to weak even for the stock tires.

I went with a HD metal gear servo and a kimbrough #126 gas car saver the black one, it steers very nice with 2.2 imex swampers.

Bearings are a very good idea, at least put them on the axle input shafts and wheel axles so that slop won't have an effect on gears.

I am using a stock Sanwa servo with much bigger tyres (Dirt Hawgs) and it's acceptable but not amazing. Bearings are so cheap these days you would be crazy not to get them. It's like putting cheap tyres on a sports car. Definitely get a full bearing kit.

still not sure about which servo for steering will only be used for front wheels but unable to work out what i need also would i better with oil shocks and if so where could i find some as searching ebay has thrown up a blank.

oil shocks are a waste of money in this leaf sprung truck, the stock shock/dampners do fine

get a servo with 100oz/in of torque or more and a kimbrough gas car saver

I use this servo in all my trucks & it's inexpensive but performs well.  The Hitec HS-645MG:

I also always use an OFNA Heavy Duty Servo Saver available in several colours:

Stellamodels has the F350 bearing kit in stock & they ship very quickly (even to Canada !):

I'll be using all of these bits on my High Lift when I build it if that helps [H].  I wouldn't buy any oil shocks until you've built it & run it though.
