Isn't it time for another So Cal Meet?

Been awhile since the last meet and April's just around the corner.  Forecasts for this weekend is in the 80's. 

Got a couple more runners itching to be...run. 

So what do you guys think.

I'd be up for a get together.  HRH is okay but a really sweet place I have been to was Vaquez rocks park.

 To answer the previous question the last meet was 7 or so.

Hey, I had a thought, Tamiya are officially leaving their headquaters in the OC later this year, maybe we should get of our ***** and get down there before the track it gone!

 I can't believe we have never actually hada meet there, it is the closest we have to the Japan facility.

 Anyone up for it?

Pardon me James, i came from across the pond and so my region Geographics isnt up to scratch but what state is OC? Oklahoma City? I bet thats a fair drive? [:S]

 Having stayed here for a year now, i can see how and why not many peeps turn up for these tamiya meets. What i mean is, there is sooo much to freaking do here and not enough time to do it in lmao. Given that there were only 7 of you in the pic, you guys managed to bring a lot and quality i might add including the small rc in the pic. I take it thats InetRC (crouching down at the front row?) think i saw a pic of him on another rc forum [8-|]

OC is an abbreviation for Orange County which is the southern neighbor to Los Angeles County.  The Tamiya track is located in Orange County. 

Anyhow, I've never been to the Tamiya track, so I'm game for checking it out.

Thanks for clearing that up for me Rich and yeah i been that part of town a few times and now i think about it, thats a terrible shame tamiya is going. I may not have some serious vintage items as the rest of you's but sure, i'll go [].

Would be cool if we can pull it off.  Maybe bill it as a West Coast meet, If we do it early enough, our bro's and sis's in the surrounding states can come and join.  Get and post some hotel info close by and make a weekend out of it.

 They have an awesome facility with both humongas on-road and off-road race tracks, ample parking space, large pitting area. The jumps on their off-road track are nothing short of amazing and would be cool to take airial shots of car whilst in full flight.

 It would be cool if any of you want to check it out first and see if my conclusions is valid for what i would propose the nest meeting place, i kindda have reservations of having cars run loose on sand far too abrasive for the sort of things we run?

Who has the member list for SoCal crew?  Maybe we should send out an e-mail with a few options regarding dates and locations.  Then, majority rules.  Si o no?

I can not believe how bad we all are (myself included) at getting this together. Talk about weak! As for Sun Valley it is an awesome facility but the track is way to hardcore for our little vintage buggies. The offroad track has been built to cater to the 1/8th Nitro crowd and I don't think my vintage scorcher would be able to complete a lap with out damage. And that is without any locals 1/8th buggies on the track.

I still feel a meet at the Tamiyaclub facility has to be done before they move and time is ticking.

Well, i just thought id bring it up as a Venue for a meet, not necesarrily for racing. They too got small jumps anyways.
