What motor and pinion for hilux/blazer

what other motors and pinions will fit the hilux/blazer, i am struggling to find a motor and pinion for mine, i know its a rs540 but not sure what others will fit as these are so hard to come by, Thanks

The original 3-speeds used their own specific motor/pinion combo. The Hilux/Blazer/Mounty used 540 motors with pressed on pinions. The Bruiser used a 750 motor with a pressed on pinion.

Since you don't have the motor or pinion your options are:

1. Find an original motor/pinion combo on eBay or on TC. It's not hard or expensive.

2. Find a pinion of the right size and number of teeth, put it on a motor of your choice. More difficult to find.

3. Find a dead motor with pinion for the three-speeds, pry the pinion off, tap it onto a new motor.
