The 4vWD has vanished off ebay, but the 4EX seems plentiful.

Does anyone know if the 4EX Rx is BEC? As it is theoretically an air radio, like the Skysport 4YF, the product brochures do not state these Rx's to be BEC. It does say 'B' (for battery) at one of the plug sockets. The 4EX Tx comes with cleaner FM (vs AM) and a 6 channel Rx. But it is quite a chunky Rx versus the compact 4VWD Rx. Oh where art there 4VWD? ... being consumed by all those full option kit Scanias no doubt. Be patient be patient. No, I want it now now now now. I do need to grow up for a 31 Y.O. [:P]

hi there im just looking at buying radio gear for my high lift i have just ordered, the reciever is not bec as far as i can see, maybe this due to the fact your running so many servo's or something, i was looking at getting some 4vwd futaba radio but prefered 40mhz kit, was woundering which was best suited to the high lift, the acoms 4ch radio or the futaba 4ex and im i correct about the bec question.

Tamiya monkey,

Which Acoms radio you talking about there? Any 4 channel Futaba should work with the Tamiya 3 speeds. Not the 6EXA though (apparently).
