Browsing through ebay this week I see a seller is using a photo from my showroom to sell "his" high dollar car. I have complained to eBay, but I'm worried the auction will still run. With the new setup where bidders identities are protected, I cant contact them to warn about a "potential" problem. I'm not saying the seller doesn't have the car - its just they should not be using a photo from my showrroom.

I contacted the seller and he told me " hi, yes the pix is not mine but the actual kit and box itself is better than yours. its just that my digital camera is broken and i needed to list list the item a.s.a.p. thks"

Am i being out of line to get bent up over this?

Should we protect images with water marks if downloaded like the manuals?

Any thoughts!

The easiest way to combat this is to change your picture from the car to one showing you mooning the camera.  The link will stay the same but the picture will change.  won't that seller be surprised

GREAT if he has used the picture location but he could have just saved the pic and hosted it somewhere else,

go to the picture right click them click properties and there will be a URL, if this is the tamiya club URL then replace it with  "stolen picture"  or something, if not then there is no point! sorry

This happened to me before too...I asked the seller about it and he said he borrowed them and told me to check my PayPal account. He put $50 into my account and thank you for letting me use your photos!!!
