I'm sure you can take an existing set and have them plated (vacuum metalized) for less! and they'll be more durable than the vintage ones.

hmm, i seem to have missed something along the way.

so the Re-re will come with a pinned middle shaft, not the hex ends?

It looks to be so according to the photos shown.

And interchangeable from re-re to original??

The new release hotshot is using the same wheels as the original, so the Supershot gold wheels would fit straight on.

The 2007 Hotshot will be reviewed on www.rctvlive.com . That was one of the cars I have been emailing them about and they finally gave me the word they will have it on! I asked when and they said I could sign up for an email update when it will air. this should be cool! If they would only bring back the sand scorcher now my life would be complete.

Well, my Hotshot 2007 is posted and flying to Holland in a few days!! Can't wait to see it arrive! I feel like I'm 16 years old again when I saw the Hotshot in the toyshop and it was too expensive for me... Finaly (although it is an other version) I have my own Hotshot. Pictures will follow as soon as the kit arrives!!!
