mr_lister999. 3 Posted January 11, 2003 All motors spark to a degree when running. If the sparks are very big (enough to be seen just jumping out of the motor) then the timimning is probably set wrongly. Small sparks inside are perfectly normal and are of no concern. mclan 0 Posted January 11, 2003 thxs!but wen do i knw i hv to clean my motor?n how?
mr_lister999. 3 Posted January 11, 2003 Remove the brushes and if they look small replace them. Clean your motor whenever you want or say at 25 run intervals for a strip down just to brush out the dirt and put a tiny drop of oil on the bearings. A complete rebuild with new brushes, comm cleaning, lubrication and motor spray would be a good idea half way through its life just to make it last longer. Just remember if its well used you will never make it feel new again. Just buy a new one and maintain regulary.
