what brushless system for Dark Impact?

hi folks,

im looking for a brushless system (motor and esc) for my dark impact.

 i have seen the Novak combo with super sport plus esc & ss5800 (8.5 turns) motor.

Is that a good system or can u advise me something else?

And what about jamming on these brushless systems?

I know a guy at the track who runs the Novak 4.5 system in his Dark Impact- Insane SPEED, hard to keep it on the track though (he drives wild!).  The DI can handle what ever you want to through in, BULLET PROOF drivetrain- I ran a Novak GTX with a Trinity D6 11X2 brushed in mine but it gets very HOT!  So to answer your question, stick a Brushless system in because they run cooler (important for the DI) and you don't have to do alot of maintenance with the MOTOR- a huge PLUS!  It also depends on how much power you want?  I would go with the Novak 6.5 or 5.5 brushless system as you can adjust the power output for racing or all-out bashing!  I hope I helped:)?

Hi mate,

For cheap and torquey the SS5600 is a lovely buy.  Probably not as fast as the newer brushless setups, but from what I have seen / heard, much more powerful than the newer ones.  Check out the following vids:
