www.modelsport.co.uk can build stick packs for a fiver (See Power/Battery services in their menu), and some model shops local to me charge the same. So I suppose they might be able to replace the dead cell and build it back into a stick. But unless it's a real good pack, probably isn't worth it, as the cost of having it redone + the cost of a replacement cell may well be > the cost of a replacement stick.

When I've killed sticks in the past, I take the remaining good 5 cells, patch 4 together to run the comm lathe and the other one to do motor run-in [:D]

Yeah i saw Modelsport do that, it's a 3000 Ni-Mh so I think it's worth saving(depending on cost!!) I remember seeing an advert in one of the RC car mags for a place that did battery repairs but I don't have a recent mag to look at, it was a full page ad done in black and white can't for the life of me remember who they were tho!!

Failing that does anyone know if Powertech batteries are any good??

Seen some for a very good price!!
