anyone no how to free up a tb02 drivetrain

It should already be free. Take the motor out and chassis should roll a long way with only a slight shove.

Don't grease the gears too much.

Flush the bearings and relube with light oil.

Universal axles.

And check your wheel nuts are not too tight. Have seen several TB02s with overtight nuts - the wheel can then just contact the upright causing a slight bind.

I flush bearings out using Benzene. Let them soak in a glass bottle of benzene for a few minutes, then take them out and spin them on a screw driver. The benzene inside will "chew up" any grease and dirt. Then let the bearings dry, and then use a light oil to oil them (I use Prolong general purpose spray). Another idea to losen up the drive-chain is to get the aluminium clamp on hexes, so you can tighten the wheel-nut properly without pushing the hex onto the upright.
