Multi Function Unit and TEU 302

Maybe a dumb question but if I use an MFU, does it replace the separate ESC?  I ask because of the adjustable clutch function thingy.  Don't want to buy a 302 if it turns out I don't need one.

The MFC-02 has a build-in ESC, so no need for a separate ESC

Both the MFC-01 and MFC-02 have built in ESC's  As for what motor it can handle is open for debate.  I run the stock silver cans in my semi's and I use a black sport tuned in my High lift with no problems.

The sport tuned gives it just a bit more speed but where it really excels is that it has about 75% more torque than the standard silver can mabuchi.
