QUESTION FOR THE NIB SUPER CHAMP

The Super Champ Riddle…

 

You are walking down a path and come upon a huge structure blocking your way.…there are two men each guarding his own very large door…The men are identical twins…The doors are identical as well..

 

One door leads to a hoard of Old Tamiya NIBs…All of the first 100 plus Mountaineers, Top Force II and a few other of the newer gems…These will all be yours if you enter the right door…Actually you will get a NIB Super Champ but the story sound better this way…

 

The other door leads to Oz where you will be beaten up by a mad kangaroo; if you should enter that door.. So...How do you choose the right door???

 

You are allowed to ask one and only one question to either of the brothers..Here is the kicker..One brother will always tell the truth..The other brother must always lie…These brothers have no options..They are not there to help or trick you..One has to lie the other has to tell the truth...You have no way of telling which brother is which…but if you ask the correct question you will be able to determine which door leads to the Tamiya Treasure….What is the question you should ask????

Ask one brother what the other brother would tell you to do - then do the opposite. You know you'll get the lie that way, and can cancel it out!

The reason is:

If you ask the brother who lies, he will tell you the opposite of what the truthful one would tell you

If you ask the truthful brother, he will tell you the lie that the liar would have told you

Hence, do the opposite either way.

You could ask what colour clothes you are wearing amd see which man tells the truth about the correct colour of your clothes and the other will tell you a lie about a wrong colour of clothes.

The man who tells the truth will lead you to the correct door and the other man wont.

I would ask the brother on the left what his twin would say if i asked which door lead to the Mad kangaroo in OZ, which ever door he says is the actual door to the Hord of Tamiya goodies because the truth of one cancels the lie of the other.
