As an example of shipping charges, my Tamiya 56707 Tamtech-Gear Buggy Champ EMS Shipping charge is $44 US ($47 CDN) from Japan to Canada in under 5 days.

I had a Full Option Scania Truck Kit (with controller & mfu) and the F350 MFU shipped by EMS by RC-Champ and they were kind enough to mark the value at only $190 CDN for me. If you ask them, they'll accomodate. So, I think I only had to pay about $30 to customs on its arrival ! (and we know it was worth a LOT more than that !).

There is apparently an English price list (an Excel file from memory) if you really dig - but the best thing to do is just send them an email specifying exactly what you're after and they send you a quote back. There are a couple of guys (Masa-san et al) who can email in English no problem at all. The email quotes and orders do feel a little odd compared to the polished shopping carts on some sites - but the Champ rocks! They're super fast and amazingly cheap.

It gets a little trickier when you want to order their package deals (pretty much every kit is listed 4 different ways with different combinations of optional parts) - but as long as you just want the kit, it's simple as pie.

I use Paypal with RC-Champ. Email them to see if they accept other methods if you don't have a Paypal account. RC-Champ charges a fee when paying by Paypal but the prices are still usually the cheapest I can find.
