I have a new plan.......

It comes from watching the cars featured in these videos:

I have got a set of old style paddletyres mounted onto Pajero rims, and my plan is to use a TL-01 chassis, and some sort of Jeep-shell..

Anyone else who wants to "take the challenge" and try to find out how to build one of these monsters? Perhaps using a brushless motor would be a bit over the edge, but some sort of tuned motor is a must as i see it..

Perhaps someone already HAS built one, and wants to share? Ideas on other chassis types are also welcome. I think this would be fairly easy and cheap to build, as it obviously only is a matter of power and traction, as they will have to run in loose sand or dirt..

Cant wait to get started.

Cheers..

That video is amazing....

For scale appearance, my personal chassis choice would be a TLT, with a minor 4 link rework, similar to what you would do if building a rock crawler, but with a little less articulation, and a lot less ride height.

A nice Jeep shell and a set of HPI 2.2' Truck paddle tyres on some wide offset rims, and your away.

I also feel that if you were after the big rooster tails of sand, then a low turn modified or Brushless system would be a must.

I am seriously considering this as my next project, only thing stopping me is that I have to many projects on the go now.

Goodluck with whatever chassis you choose.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH its not fair I've got 4 projects on the go and now it look like Im going to add a 5th. I can remember waching these on eurosport ages ago but had completly forgot about them until now.

Im thinking High Lift axles, Locked pede transmition, Custom chassis and very long suspension links. Oh and a very big brushless motor :o .
