Those cars are absolutely INSANE! I had no idea people in Japan were getting up to those kind of mods... anyone know what the inspiration is for this styling? Animation? Toys? Too much sushi?

I think the spelling of that is wrong not bosozoku it should be bozosoku with the key being BOZO the clown (US tv show) I think youd get laughed at doin tht stuff not to mention getting one of those in a garage.

To be fair, people make cars look like racers the world over. Stuff like this isn't surprising considering what they were racing in the 1980's;

I have to say that I like the Vans and the cars, why, because they are totally unique with that homebuilt ghetto style [^]. Then again I kinda like ugly cars, look what I'm driving now...

It's a Honda Element, IIRC they only sell it in North America and Japan. It's basically a Honda CRV with a a larger, more utilitarian body. The floors are rubber and the rear seats fold up or can be removed completely. It was designed for people who do a lot of outdoor activities like mountain biking and camping (with the seats up you can fit a double sized air matress back there). That's one of the reasons why I bought it, I can stick my mountain bike back there and not worry about trashing the carpets (Also I can put my mud caked TXT-1 back with no problems either [:P], it wouldn't even fit in my old MX5's trunk...)
