help. ball diff broke

i snapped the bolt in the middle. is there any way of joining the bolt back together or do i have to buy a new one and can i get my gearing down to 4.49

You'll need to buy a new bolt.

Whether you can get that gear ratio depends on the car you have.

The diffs are the weak point in TB02's if not set up exactly right. I raced one in the Tamiya Eurocup (English) and most rounds I had trouble with the rear diff. If you tighten it up too much the diff bolt snaps during racing, too loose you ruin the diffs joints, where the metal 'D' plates attaches. It's a shame that Tamiya didn't put better ball diffs on the car.

i looked in the book but it only goes down to 5.72 i need to go to 4.30
