58041 Frog Upgrade Questions

hi there just got a original frog of the bay and was wanting to upgrade the drive train so that it could handle larger motors without causing problems, just bought new front end, newer rear shocks, pinions, new body shell, crp bumper, new chassis and the crp front shock mounts. was just going to fit something like a sport tuned in there for know and was woundering what other items i would require to convert to re-re reliability.

try to get the re-release dog bones and drive cups kit, this is the biggest improvement, if you don't mind having the new parts on it. you can also get some adapters if you want to run hex wheels.

Yes, that's all you need. Maybe you can buy universals instead of dogbones. The dogbones will sometimes pop out...

The first thing to do is replace the plastic bushings with metal bearings or the gears will strip in time. Is it the front crp bumper?

yes the front bumper is from crp, did'nt bother with rear.
