Thanks for the reply. The bodies are Open Interface Finished Body (#51268) and Xanavi Nismo GT-R Finished Body (#51203). Drilling holes in these are hard for me I think, especially with stickers and paint allready applied. I really hope the holes are allready drilled. I will use a TT-01 chassi on them and eventually a TA-05.

Here is one of them, it is the on the left http://hem.bredband.net/gerek/xanavi.JPG

I can't see drilling holes <_<

with my touring car(tt-01 with a BMW 320 SI BODY) , they were already in there ( sorry for my bad English)

You mean the body you got with your TT-01 chassis? I am buying a separate body which is allready painted and its decals applied.

I mean I have seen KIT's with finished bodies, and those have holes, but I am not sure about the finished bodies you buy separately.

Aha ok thanks! And I understood you completely, just that I was not sure if the body was included in the kit or not.

oh oke yeah my English is bad but i'm happy

I could help ha bu can you also help me ?

A tt-01 is it the best with a 190 mm body or a 200 mm body ???

thnx for replying so fast !

190mm is standard for TT-01. Go with that.

if you want to use 200m bodies, I believe you have to use offset wheels to widen the car wheels.

yah just use those offsets on the wheel if you plan to use 200mm bodies. Not sure which size the offsets should be though, maybe 6mm-10mm?

And I don't have a TT-01 yet. I am buing a Lancia Delta Integrale HF KIT with a finished body, some hop-ups, two additional bodies (those mentioned in the first post of mine in this thread).

I don't have many cars, just a midnight pumpkin, TYCO Hammer and a Kyosho 4Runner 4X4.

hey thanks for addng me to your friends list! I will do the same!

About those lights, I am not sure at all. My pumpkins body for example allready is pre-prepared for real lights. But I have not seen 1/10 touring car bodies with pre-cut holes for the lights. I have seen projects where people make their own holes and install the lights. Also, Tamiya has a few 1/10 touring car kits with lights, so maybe if you manage to find the bodies of those cars, they might have pre-cut light holes.

You are into drifitng? I am not, however, there is a good site rcdrift.se if you know swedish/danish/norwegian.

Tamiya finished bodies do not have holes but they have small dimples so you know where the holes go. They have both TA05 and TT01 hole dimples.

You can make holes with a special reamer or you can use Brad tip drill bits.

Brad tip drill bits are made for wood but they have a very sharp tip in the middle and cut the outside of the hole before they cut the center of the hole. These are cheaper than the special reamer and easy to find at a hardware store. I can post a picture if you would like.

You should chose a Tamiya body with light buckets if you want nice looking lights in your car. The new Nismo Silva,BMW,RX-7,Nismo GT-R,Subaru Impreza 2007 and the soon to released Toyota Supra all have light buckets.

Hi thanks for the reply. Ok goot that they have dimples, will make the work much easier. But are the dimples for TT-01 and TA-05 the same? Because while the bodies will at first be tried out on a TT-01, I plan to buy a TA-05 kit.

I don't have a reamer. My brother used a driller several years ago, and I don't want to do that. The brad tip drill sounds interesting, please show me a picture thanks!

edit/ I found a picture of it and read a bit about it. Seems like it is the thing I want! Do you know which diamater I should buy? I allready have an electric driller.

The body mount points for the TT-01 and TA-05 are the same at the back, but the TA-05 front ones are further forward than the TT-01 ones. If you put holes in for the TT-01, you will have to drill new front ones when you get the tA-05.

Hope that helped

Thanks! So I will wait until I get a TA-05 chassis KIT which I do plan to buy some time in the future. However, I have only seen TA-05r which seems a bit overkill for me.

There is no TA05 "kit" they all come with body and wheels if thats what u are refering to regards to a kit.

Personally for bashing/car park racing the TA05 stock kit is fine, tho if ure location has stones etc then the belt drive can suffer in which case a TB02 would be preferible.

If you use the Brad tip bits be slow with the drill.Sometimes i drill them by hand and also start on the inside then switch to the outside half through. Just be slow and take you time.

The TA05R is over kill for most people and dosent come with tires, wheels, body,or motor.
