hi there just bought a manta ray of the bay, in great shape with only a bent prop shaft which i have on order, is the manta ray a ta01 or ta02 and what are difference's between them apart from colour, also what other parts fit this car so i can look at getting some spares, i heard that twin detinator drive shaft fit so does that mean i can buy the td cvd's that are on ebay at the mo. what other upgrades would you recommend, all new gears installed and will be running a yokohomo pro stock 2 motor with 13 turns once the smaller pinions come. any advice would be handy as it is the first time i have had this chassis type.

TA01 with long suspension arms and different shock towers.

As for the difference between the TA01 and 02, I think the 02 has a shorter bathtub.

You don't need all of them, but some might be a good idea. Here's the bare minimum that I think is needed:

- full ball bearings (there's cheap aftermarket sets)

- Aluminium motor mount (tamiya's one is very nice, but hard to get)

- steel prop shaft (Tamiya makes one, but aftermarket ones seem to be better)

- aluminium wheel hexes (the plastic ones melt/change shape when they get hot)
