Prize For Guessing What 58400 Will Be ?

With the Tamiya RC 30th Anniversary gone and re-release Hot Shot hitting the shops (well ebay) this month - Got me thinking - model 400 is coming soon - what will it be?

A re-release Monster Beetle? - Wild One XC-02 a TT-02 chassis maybe we'll get another 3-Speed with a new body ?

But I guess it'll be either a TA-05 or TT-01 with fully painted body - with maybe lights

Guess's welcome - BTW if somebody does makes a guess and Tamiya re-release as model 58400 i'll send them a small prize (BTW it won't be a 58400)

My guess is a Wild One - I've just started putting my back together and every time I start to re-build a vintage car - Tamiya re-release it before I finish it.

58400 will be a new Formula 1 car with a new chassis:)

Guessing TA-05IFS Mazda RX8 body set

Do you really think an RX8 hood-line would require an IFS chassis? If they do another IFS body, it will probably be a Super-GT NSX or something that really needs it...

Actually, Tamiya USA have the Gravel Hound 2 listed as 58399..... and the picture is of the Plasma Edge. I would guess they are one and the same.

Not really a re-re as such... more like another different bodied GH...

I'd love to see an Ultima RB5 competitor from Tamiya as 58400, as my cash is near the BIN button for the RB5. But my heart is with Tamiya, so lame ...

But I reckon it will be a re-re of the Fox - my first restoration.

As an aside - have re-re's always had a negative impact on the prices and collectability of it's vintage counterpart? I've not been in this 'world' long enough to know.

I was pretty close by guessing an TA05 IFS NSX. That's one of the newly announced r/c models as well. Of course I guess I didn't make the radom cutoff date (or whatever)...
