Hi,

Bit of a newbie to the world of Tamiya, I am looking for a little help on a Porsche 934 (58001) i am trying to restore. I aquired the car from a neighbour who was clearing out his garage and had placed the kit and car in the "take to skip" pile!!!! i rescued it and have decided to restore it. Where is a good place to aquire spares and also a new body shell as mine as a window pillar missing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

you could try fitting a 1/12 lexan body from the new TamTechGear Porsche that's available now.

haven't seen too many original 934 bodysets appear on ePay of late.

The 1 1/12 scale 934 static kits come up on ebay occasionally - you can use the bodyshell and trim from that.

Failing that, the pillar could be re-constructed if you have the modelling skills and a bit of plasticard and filler.

Thanks guys can't beleive how adictive this vintage Tamiya restoration is, i can see many arguments with the Mrs's coming on :) but it's well worth it, Does anyone have any Tamiya kit numbers for the static Porsche so i know what i am looking for?

Thanks again (Great Forum) :D

Here is a listing for one on eBay. The only number I can see from the pictures is RSR934.

The starting price is about average for what I see on eBay.

Good luck!
