A higher rated mAh battery will not only increase run time, but will give it more punch.I went from 3000mAh batteries to 4200mAh batteries in my EZilla and it made a huge difference. It now pops wheelies off the line!

Depending on your ESC, you could always get 7 cell or 8 cell or even 9 cell batteries which give you a heck of a lot more punch.

Also, for batteries, do NOT get eee4u batteries. All the ones we recieved from him ended up melting on a 10turn, 19turn, 23turn. Get better make batteries, such as Venom Racing, Intellect, etc

hi cheers for that the batteries i have got are ANSMANN RACING 2700NIMH the esc is a EC027 VIPER,i got the esc with the car package,i just got the batteries from a web site,do they sound o.k or not?

Now then, I have an An*smann 3000 nimh and its no where near as good as some intel*ect 3000 nimh`s that I have got. The ans is less punchier and doesnt have the same runtime as the others. So I too would suggest another make of batteries.

If money is no object....these Trinity matched packs work the best for the money!

They come in either side by side or pack:

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti00...LXLYY6&P=ML

If you want to spend a little less and get a good pack to boot.....I always back SMC batteries:

And the SMC matched pack is a great deal on price:

If your best battery is a 3000mAh or less, you will see a huge difference!

Eh, but you are asking him to pay over 45 dollars for one pack, when you can get decent battery packs for 25, 30 each on ebay.

I have found G.P batts to be quite good!

But those Trinity matched packs really are the dogs danglers!

I have four myself and they really pay for themselves over a couple of months!

lol, man i love that saying, i'm brtish but living in Canada and i miss metaphores such as that. I have to agree after seeing cheap Ebay packs being melted for, mostly, no reasons. Even when running 19T motors or higher cheap packs are dying real fast. In the long run its got to pay to buy better quality packs and not the cheap ones which die within a few weeks of ownership. (like Tenergy 3800's).

I totally disagree.....Venom is junk. I ordered 3 13T motors from them and they crapped out after the first 2 or 3 runs.........will never buy from them again.

You get what you pay for man! SMC and Trinity is bottom line best cells you will buy....but everyone has opinions! :(

I choose to not be cheap and have batteries that last a long time. Savings in a long run!

Oh, and buy the way I think Trinity uses Panosonic cells too......correct me if I am wrong anyone.

We have some cheap packs that have withstood time and high current absue but the recent cheapies seem to last 10 runs tops, I have to agree that although you dont need to go allout and pay top dollar you do need to pay a little bit extra for someone built a little better than the kitkat wrapper linked packs currently selling on ebay at bargain money. 20 bucks a pack for 10 runs or 40 bucks a pack for 1000 potential runs.

I would however love to know if anyone has found reliable cheapies off ebay as i am looking for some basher packs that could last?

Venom makes junk motors, yes. But their batteries are very good.

That may be as I have never went past buying any of their motors as I feel if one of their items are cheap, then they must all be.

Do you know what brand cells they use in their packs?

I would stay with Panosonic or Sanyo cells as they usually do the best. And of course what ever brand SMC uses, which is Intellect.

Yes. Intellect cells are good, and I recently bought a Sanyo cell pack. Have no clue what cell the venoms are, but they should be good. Although I would stick to intellect and Sanyo. Im not sure on panasonic...their alkaline batteries suck bad

I would say a reasonable pack is around $45 US where as the cheap ones tend to be around $20 US. IF you want to be sure of reliability stick with the named brands as discussed above. If not it tends to be a lottery with cheap packs as to if your car catches fire or not (well melts the chassis a little when the cell shorts out which has happened to me twice, lol)

I still like "happy as a dog with 2 d**** " to describe a happy chappy!!

I'm currently running a Vapextech 4300 battery and admittedly haven't had a full run out of it yet but first impressions are great......so much better than my piddly Ansmann 2100 jobbie......
