Hi Guys,

Can anyone suggest online stores (in the UK) that stock standard and laydown brushes for tamiya motors (type s and type RZ respectively)?

Will be for bashing use only, and the only ones i can find are the official tamiya ones and they cost about 6 -8 inc. postage per set which is a bit steep for me!- can i use other make brushes OK?

thanks for any interest/ replies

You can use just about any brand of motor brush, Of course use the right standup or laydown brush.

For best performance & comm/brush life, be sure to use the correct springs for the brushes you select. The hobby shop (or the brush manufacturer) should be able to help you with this...

PS: Make sure to true the comm before installing new brushes. Otherwise the brushes will wear VERY fast, and the comm will be further damaged. A lot of hobby stores or race drivers offer this as a service.
