danuk 0 Posted August 9, 2007 Hi all, I am new to the forum. I have recently owned a Juggernaut 2which has been sold on, have a vintage Grasshopper for rebuild and used to race Kyosho/Yokomo cars in the nineties. Could someone give me some details on Tamiya's Mud Blaster as I am after an older Monster Truck and have the chance to lay my hands on one. I really want a Blackfoot 1 but will wait for the right moment. Are Mud Blasters becoming rare? What do I need to know about them?
billg4 25 Posted August 10, 2007 no, not unless NIB With the brat rerelease anyone can make a mudblaster as the brat comes with the full set of mudblaster body posts. All the mudblaster is is a blackfoot with brat body and pinspiked chevrons from the beetle kit
CLODHEAD 0 Posted August 11, 2007 hi if you get blackfoot i will get your mudblaster. but it depends on condition like another member said its really only worth abit if it has the box. i think bushdevil and monster beetle are worth more. then mudblaster with g1 lunchbox. skip665 169 Posted September 6, 2007 I have a Mud Blaster from many years ago - unfortunately I smashed up the shell a long time ago and bought a polycarbonate Grave Digger body for it - still have the original box and instructions though...
terry.sc 16 Posted September 6, 2007 Mud Blaster http://www.tamiyaclub.com/car.asp?id=77 If you want a Blackfoot then the Mud Blaster is exactly the same car except for body and tyres. You could buy it then just look out for a Blackfoot body to fit on it and you have a Blackfoot. The Mud Blaster is the ugly sister of the early trucks, the Blackfoot and Monster Beetle being the favourites at the time so the big sellers. It suffers the same problems as the others in the range. Driveshafts and diffs being the main problems, but easily fixed now as the diff parts are available again and the hex driveshafts can be upgraded with the pin drive ones from the rerelease Frog. Relatively rare compared with others in the range, but less demand for it so it actually has a lower value than the Blackfoot and especially the Monster Beetle.
