Due to a change in circumstance for my planned japan trip this year (we're not going now :( ) I've decided to pull the trigger now and just ordered my Egress from Stella

Bought myself a stainless casserole pan expressly for the purpose of dyeing my bits :D

today-30.jpg

today-31.jpg

Also got my Frog shell masked up for the black bits, will update the thread when I can ;)

frog_rere_199.jpg

I painted my Frog roll cage with a brush and Tamiya Black brush-on Polycarbonate paint PC series (30ml glass jar). It's a lot easier to remove if you screw it up a few times like I did (alcohol removes it completely).

Regards,

Alistair G.

Finished the paint and stickers on the NovaFox. I have it's driver, my Hornet driver, WildOne driver, and a Willy all waiting on some paint so they can look as good as their cars.

Cleaned up the spare room/hobby room a bit more, moved some unwanted stuff out, put some wanted stuff in, like a desk under the window so I have somewhere to work - finally!

Also bought a few RC bits in from the garage - my Midnight Pumpkin and my Juggy 2, partially disassembled though it is. One of the tires has split in two places. I have no idea how that happened.

I brought in two plastic crates of stuff containing various bits I thought I'd lost, such as my digital calipers and my NiCd discharger.

Loads of other odds and ends that I won't list here, but it was quite exciting rediscovering what I had :)

1. Put a new bumper on my Super Sabre project. It's a re-re bumper, but it'll do for now.

2. Cleaned up my Midnight Pumpkin body, as a year or more in the garage gave it the Pox!

Much better.

Rescued the black bleed in my Frog shell, then masked in PROPER masking tape (3M fineline and Tamiya) and painted my 'Pink Bits':ph34r::ph34r:

Hopefully this part will be greeted with more success :lol:

I was looking for something different and settled on a sawback. The chassis is great and it runs well on a castle 3900 brushless. The body was truly hideous all shiney red so I dullcoated it and weathered it a bit. It's still truly ugly but not as bad. The 34 ford body and Warn winch will fix the ugly when that shell is finished.

The little jar of lip gloss that came with it tastes really bad :D

Snce the remaining parts (new chassis/sub chassis, and front body mount) arrived late morning, I thought i might as well crack on with the rebuild of the BigWig....and a few hours later its now sat back on its wheels as a rolling chassis with period electrics :D:D:D

While i was at it, I added a new bumper to the Boomerang rebuild (still waiting on a few parts for that).

Spent far too many hours stripping the Avante MkII DF-03 shell that arrived yesterday - nice outer layer of auto paint covering up some realy nice yellow auto filler / primer. Combination of the body contours and the paint makes me wonder whether it was worth it, but i suppose i've saved £20-25 through not having to buy a new body ;)

Today i start the build of my Calsonic Skyline GT-R.

First step was cut the body, attach the window frame stickers, masking the windows and make a protection film on the outside of the body. It is an old Body Parts Set and comes without an protection film and without window masking stickers.

r321p0u5m.jpg

r3223zsp7.jpg

After a few hours i have finished the first step and started with the paintjob, i painted 2 coats of PS30 Brilliant Blue.

r3239uuna.jpg

The result is good and i am very happy, cant wait to see the finieshed Skyline next weekend.

Yesterday finished 3 color paintjob on a Renault Martini Mk22 body. Today black coated the driver for brush work and now testing decals with clear coat over them. If it works, I can finalise paintjob of the body today or tomorrow.
