I grabbed a spare 5 minutes here and there at work to strip down my wrecked TL-01B so that I can take the good bits and my other '01B and make a hybrid.

I thought it was a good time to finally clense the shell of its New Bright origins. I used graffiti remover to get the paint off but it seems to have messed with the plastic a little in some places and I have a kind of white coating. Seems to come off with some hard polishing though.

I might just use my Dremel at its lowest RPM to sort it, It's only going to be a bashing shell so it doesn't have to be perfect. I'm not painting it either apart from the grill and bed. That way scratches wont show up as much.

waiting on postman to deliver MileHighCrawler custom RC license plates.  Never mind the idiot waited a week to get on my order. Never again.  Then you have RCDMV who makes you send him a message on Facebook to order.  Retarded.

Listed my brushless RTR FRX Outlaw dune buggy in the sales section, I’ve sold enough Tamiya’s lately, it’s time an off brand took a hit too.

Dreaming about finding the right house and what kind of pimp hobby den I'm going to build for making Tamiya kits :D    It really is nice not being married at times - my house will be a pure 1500 sq ft MAN CAVE of European car and motorbike memorabilia, TAMIYA, 80s BMX bikes, and I'm planning on fashioning out the living room like a MOTOGP pit box in Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden regalia.

Did you ever see the movie: 40 Year Old Virgin?   He did the same sort of thing, only with action figures.  Think very carefully about your priorities man. Do not be the star of 40 Year Old Virgin Part 2!

Bent this dogbone on the front of my CC-01.  It must of popped out and the hi torque steering servo bent it against the aluminum hub carriers or something.

Can anyone confirm the length of the dogbones on a TA-02 are the same as the CC-01?

4300KV EZrun 9T

As usual 6 year old had impeccable driving skills, I get the controls, flip it multiple times and crack the shell. oops.

Not sure, I want a perfect checker pattern like this ===>

I'm testing with blue painters tape now to see how I could measure out the squares and cut them with an exacto.   I found the perfect size based on the bed's size.

It's 6 inches deep, and 5.25 inches wide - If I make the squares .75" each, that'll fit a perfect 48 sqaures into the bed.

I was flirting with doing a cardstock stencil to lay in the bed and hit the stencil with paint.  I can trace the bottom of the bed perectfly by flipping it over and using the bottom.

Or I could spray the bed white, and put vinyl black squares onto the paint by hand.

A few options - finding the one that works best will be key.  Like I said I'd like to be old school and use paint and tape.

Built a G6-01 chassis. The shocks on this thing are very ropey. I didnt bother with the internal rubber tubing as it just made them worse.

Nice colour scheme! I'd like to grab myself one of those t-bone bumpers but postage to UK is a killer. :(  Welcome by the way! :)

Picked up two new additions to the fleet.

w9xP2aOJZeAjuk2fkzgUdqwA1ks_mBslDNPhsii5

Both need a little bit of TLC.

Avante needs a few replacement screws and the shocks need looking at.

Sabre needs a propshaft, the correct front, upper wishbones - it has some adjustable, presumably third party, ones on there now. It could also do with a new body.

They both need a good clean too so will (eventually) get stripped, cleaned and rebuilt. With new bearings and parts replaced where needed.

Cheers. Looks better in the photo than on the colour chart tbh!  Another option added to the list.

That looks ACE! Never seen a DF03 on those wheels. Totally changes the look. Big fan of bold colour choices.
