yogi-bear 2321 Posted March 15, 2020 The most important thing I did this weekend was secure a pack of toilet paper. It only took 5 attempts! I got my CC01 Pajero drivable for the first time in a couple of years and even managed to sort out the jittery servo. I also starting sorting out a TA01 chassis and BMW shell I have. Which led me to pulling out the rest of my TA01/TA02 and FF01 chassis and parts from storage to sort through. 6

Grumpy pants 4485 Posted March 15, 2020 A lovely morning today, I sat at the kitchen table for a couple of hours for some Tamiya time. Only the Lunchbox today, fitted the elecs and tidied them away using spares which makes me very happy indeed and I dyed the CRP front bumper. It is over 4 years since I’ve completed my last Tamiya and this one is getting close now 😊

CoolHands 816 Posted March 15, 2020 Cleaned and rebuilt the diff and reassembled the rear end. Cleaned & oiled all ballraces, and the took apart and cleaned the driveshafts. (This is all part of my rejuvenate my old TA04 touring car project).
Cynan 520 Posted March 15, 2020 The epoxy seems to have done the job so I finished the assembly and had a quick run on the drive. It’s been 30 years and all I can say is I really need to work in my driving lol. Need to adjust the front wheel alignment a bit and paint the shell. Then this evening I’ve been working on another project that I picked up today whilst shopping with the nephew. Well if he’s getting something then I thought it rude not to get a little something for me
RoosterRC 27 Posted March 15, 2020 That LEGO set is fantastic. Great choice! I built that about three months ago and it’s sitting on top of a filing cabinet in my office.

CoolHands 816 Posted March 15, 2020 Yes it was an option part. It also has an option part one-way front diff which is nice, I will take a picture as well: I have a new carbon fibre chassis too but I’ve decided to rebuild with the (carbon reinforced tub style) one I was already using as I intend to run it again at a track one last time. After that I may use the carbon fibre one for when I put it on the shelf, it looks nice. Don’t want to scratch it lol

Rainman 23 Posted March 16, 2020 As for me, took the lads for their first 'race' at the local track. They loved it. About 3 laps in 5 minutes, but both managed a marshall free lap in the second round, and I really enjoyed driving with them!

I was at the Counties 10th meet so didn't go but have been meaning to get to one of their meets.

yogi-bear 2321 Posted March 16, 2020 I made a spot in a room we aren't using to setup a table and started sorting my TA01/02 and FF01 projects. I'll have to go back and have another look in storage, there is still at least one other FF01, 3 Celicas and another BMW
