Sent the NIB LB on its way today.

Sold the WW2 and a spare handset with some R/x, my wife has offered to help me pack it all tomorrow 👍.

3 cars left for sale and still a bit of kit to move along over the next 2-3 weeks, but all good.

Next open air wrenching session today. A Kyosho Rampage 10 today, two and a half hours between first and last picture. The car was taken apart and parts cleaned and refurbished over the week. Body is ok, paint needs some touching up.

@ChrisRx718 That looks like a gorgeous, see-through bunch of Porsche bodies! I think I see a 934, a 993 GT2 and... wait... is the bottom one a BMW? 🤔

Mercedes at bottom?

It's a 934 Turbo (90% sure I'm going to go Jagermeister, but a little bit tempted to go Vaillant)

933 GT2 is going black, getting custom stickers from France

A80 Racing Supra going 2000 Castrol colours

Alfa Romeo 156 going to be works "Selenia" red scheme.

I also have an FD3S RX-7 going dark metallic blue, but I forgot to put that on the pile

I finally acted on the Hornet, it was time to bring the shelf queen down in the dirt to be a runner again.

So in a few minutes the car went from this
20200411-190504-1.jpg

to this20200428-190504.jpg

In order to keep the "shelf" tires pristine I was going to order new rears and run it with the used ones in the meantime, but they were so worn out that they would have spoiled any off-road fun.

20200428-183814.jpg

So I reluctantly decided to use the new ones and order another pair for the shelf, so I can enjoy the Hornet's full potential while they last. Too bad these tires wear out so fast, their grip is amazing and they look out of control in my opinion.

This Hornet has sure seen its battles, I wasn't expecting to dig out this battered body shell again but I'm glad I did, the Hornet's habitat is in nature after all, not on a shelf :)

All revved up and ready to go20200428-192626.jpg

I know what I'll be driving this weekend.

Does anyone know if the stadium blitzer body is a direct fit to the stadium thunder ?  No different body posts or anything ?

The front posts are the same but the rear are different. If I remember correctly the Blitzer ones are further forward. You can get around this by making a second set of holes to match up with the Thunder posts. I run both bodies on the same set. You can always use a sponsor sticker to cover the old ones

Or you can change the mounts round each time you use a different body

Finally painted the Blackfoot body and the rollbar lamps. I have to do the body detail now, add a pair of decals and finish the driver, too.

Mounted additional head lamps in my newly painted Bronco grill...IMG_20200502_200534.thumb.jpg.11860a9ca24bca9115bba6cb49696224.jpg

Need still some work but I like how it turns out.

Then maybe ruined my Bronco body from this...

to this...IMG_20200502_200303.thumb.jpg.64bcd35aea975ec6f16dd9963d122df2.jpg

Next week's will decide if it is ruined or not. Now I have a lot of styrene work to do. But for now it absolutely looks how I hoped it would.

I decided today that walking an RC car was the same as a dog so all of these went for little walkies!! What a relief.IMG_1861.JPG.29c370756da5e85e1b28cd181f2ee18e.JPGIMG_1895.JPG.6699dcb25ce9b7d2164e25fd530a222b.JPGIMG_1931.JPG.2b88d79d6cf6eb445e595497d9c016ca.JPG

Then I started to look around at my collection and decided that the TT02-S was probably not going to get used so I would put it back to the way it came out of the box, with a few alterations, before selling it. That means I had a 10.5T Bluebottle motor and ESC combo for something else. A while ago I created the FAVBug on a blitzer chassis. Its never really been run so I thought I'd refresh it. The 10.5t motor is going in it, I've used short eyes on the ends of the shocks to lower it a bit and fitted dirt Hawgs all round. I think at last I've found a use for my Willy!! This is it so far

Refreshing my DT02 Falcon homage. I love this car it’s awesome on grass. 5200kv.
It lost a chase with a staffy and the body is covered in teeth marks. The stickers were crap anyway.
Got a new shell, MCI stickers and a ball diff to help when it’s really slippy.

Realized the new 6600mAh lipo square pack fits nicely in the Blitzer chassis.  You can't use the stock battery hold down but a velcro strap solved that.
