Would be nice if you can scan them and save them as PDF and share them. :)

Haven’t really got the time and haven’t got a scanner, but guess I could photo the pages on my phone and upload them somewhere to share. What are the best apps for that?

The 1985 and 2000 are already here (along with many others)

I got a run in with a couple this afternoon - the tractor had dust on it!

Painted some buggy ‘tube frame’ for my latest comical buggy concept. This one is going to be tightly based on the Tamiya Mini 4wd Racers Box, using the comical Hornet as a base.

Lack of availability of PC brush paints means I’ve used standard acrylics on the Lexan. Very little flex here, as this won’t run much, and my test sample came out fine.

With the paints I had, I couldn’t get it quite as vibrant as the source box (in background) but it’s close.

Box show is actually and Auldey knock-off(?) Auldey made some of the better Mini4wd replicas in China in the 1990s. Always unclear to me whether they were officially licensed, but I got the impression that they were.

Will end up with a blue interior and a Matt clear/cloudy shell.

My Postman has gone AWOL and I'm waiting on some bits for virtually all my projects.

I ran the brushless Grasshopper yesterday in the back garden and realised that contrary to its' namesake, that thing can't jump. It's hilarious the way it bounces along but as soon as you jump it it likes to nose-dive and that front bumper just digs in, flipping it. Dampers might help as I think it's the rear end bouncing off the ramp which tips it forward. Either way, it's now making a horrendous noise and not going anywhere under throttle, so I look forward to the carnage inside the gearbox.

In the meantime, here are some old photo's I found from back in the day.

Working at Time Tunnel Models, this picture probably from some time in 2008?

Those re-released Group C cars, early TA-05's, lots and lots of TT01's, TB-02's, M-03 and M-04's!! Love it.

The re-released Frog I built for the shop display:

And this for the Escort fans, taken at Goodwood Festival of Speed back in 2009 (I think)

I'll see if I can dig out some more, but camera phone technology wasn't great!!

in between sending myself cross-eyed and slightly insane sticking sheets of decals to @acprc's cars I've been restoring a King Blackfoot I bought a while back.

I hadn't even really looked at it when I got it, and since then it has sat on a shelf in my garage collecting a lot of dust and has looked increasingly sorry for itself. So I decided it needed tidying up, took it apart, gave it all a very thorough clean and quickly realised it is actually in remarkably good condition! There isn't a single mark on the chassis anywhere, all the hardware is perfect (the one or two screws that weren't I've replaced with NOS vintage screws) and the tiny scratches on the front bumper I've polished out as much as possible and are almost unnoticeable .

I've currently got the body in paint, so it should be all sparkly and finished soon. I'll give the tyres a proper clean too - ashamed of myself how bad they look!

Sadly I'm going to have to let this one go, as my collection needs to be thinned, so keep an eye out for it in the sales section soon if you're interested, or PM me.

Absolutely little or no Tamiya for me  today.

Work was mega busy, the only delivery was more screens for working @ home.

And I couldn’t find my handset to give the Konghead a run after my daughters driving lesson.

Went to the park and run a buggy for the first time since mid March. Had to be the Thunder Dragon of course. And it was wonderful! Had a slide on some dirt too

That picture is 100% cool! :)

And it reminds me to paint my Subaru tires sometime before this week ends...

I cheated with the MCI tire stickers.  I wish I had the patience and skill to paint them!

Willy's Blockhead Motors Brat :)

Mocking up stickers - rollbars are drying in black paint, lots of details to go yet, maybe going to put some KC daylighters on the rollbar that have LEDs, a fuel cell and or spare wheel tire in the bed.

Just got this from TamiyaUSA but it was the wrong kit..  They really goofed this up at the warehouse.  Just got back from UPS store and it cost me $15.00 to send it back, it was free shipping on the kit I bought.

Technically not today; I did these on Sunday. Comical Hornet driver painted and mounted. I masked the body as well but didn't get to paint as it is too cold and rainy.

I run my new build wr-02 for the first time today, I am happy with how the car drives the car is very stable with the wt-01  suspension arms and not so tippy as the gf-01 dumptruck that I had, the car barely rolled over.

I like the schumacher vee-2 tires that I have on the rear the have good grip everywhere in the loose sand and hard sand and also on the hard wet sand there the most tires struggle.

The only thing I am going to change are the gmade shocks, I need a little longer shock, I need a little bit more ride height  the car gets stuck to easy on the bumpy side of the beach, I am going to swap the shocks with my cc-01 there I have tamiya alloy wr-02 low friction shocks on there are a little longer and have more travel.

Fitted the Double Cardon joints to the Ff-03. Has transformed the steering with how smooth it is and how much extra lock I can now apply. Also raised the steering links on the knuckle arms to better clear the chassis at full droop. Well worth almost half the cost of the kit!..

Just about finished the next two cars on the team series i am building up. The No11 car was a NOS kit build, the No12 was a restored body on an original chassis. The wheels on No12 are wrong, so i am trying to find an original set. Interestingly, the Ferrari 312 was the only early kit that was never released as a competition special, so it would never have had diplo and sponge tyres.

I think I've killed my TBLE02S.

Hooked up to a TBLM 10.5T motor, I noticed the forward on the transmitter made the car go in reverse. Oh, I think, I'll just swap one of the motor wires over and try again.

There was no magic puff of smoke but by God it did give off an awful smell.

Now it glitches, a red light flashes and it won't go.

Have I killed it? I'm an electronics murderer aren't I?

Had too much fun with my kids today...

We ran my Tt02, GF01 and the Manta Ray...

Kids had a blast... my 6yo daughter drove the GF01 with the trims set to 50%... My 8yo son used his Manta Ray, and I had the lousy TT02...

MJYxe1z.jpg

After a while, they thought playing demolition derby was fun... i told myself fine, as long as they are having fun with me, all is good...

Then my son said, "Papa, I think I need to fix something..." at least he noticed it before hitting the neighbor's car... so he parked and this is what I saw... I said no big deal, we can just use the other hole and make adjustments...

6klwqSU.jpg

But I guess i was wrong...

XUZ7QuS.jpg

The other side hub was also cracked....so right now, Mr. Ray looks like a crab...

2wjcY1q.jpg

My son wasn't even driving at full speed as I adjusted his EPA... I guess the constant hits from my daughter's GF01 caused the breakage...

So now, do I upgrade the knuckles with a metal one, or keep it stock??? That's the big question...

Had a bit of a dilemma

I was sat at home watching the Spacex launch coverage (launch got rained off in the end!) and my daughter starts pestering to see her nan who lives round the corner. It was 2 hours till the launch so I thought why not? Kills some time till the main event. So we go round there for a while, have a cuppa etc and then leave again. Walking back to our house I notice a neighbour has left 2 metal filing cabinets out for the scrap man.

My first thought was "those would be great for RC parts" but then I reminded myself I'm trying to get rid of crap at the moment, not bring more into the house so I keep walking but then my daughter says "daddy those would be great for you toy car parts" and I say "but we are trying to make the house tidier, not messier" but she counters with "but you can tidy all your parts into them" :lol: And with that, my willpower was gone lol

I think on this occasion though, acquiring new stuff will genuinely result in less mess and clutter so it sort of offsets itself! The neighbour even let me borrow his trolley to take them over to my house!

l6lW6V0.jpg?1

They're a bit old but pretty clean still. The 15 draw set is still for sale in staples just with a newer name plate and sells for £99 so I can't knock it!

I bought a few of those plastic units from Aldi a few months ago and to be fair, they have been a revelation for keeping smaller parts organised so hopefully these can do the same for slightly bulkier items. Now I can have a servo draw, a bushed motor draw, brushless draw, esc draw, damper draw, radio draw, wire and connectors draw etc. It could help bring some order to the chaos lol. I'm actually looking forward to tidying for once!

I have some nice sponsor stickers that are too big for RC cars too so maybe I could spruce these up a bit and make them look more garagey than officey.

EDIT: Just had a look at second hand prices on ebay. Looks like they sell for about £50 each even used! Surprising what people throw away.
