I’d love to try something like this, have to see how sturdy the fence is I run 1/24 crawlers - smaller trucks mean more challenges and of course it means the course is comparatively larger... Nowadays there's some cool little 1/24 cars - I have a HBX Devastator and a Kyosho Toyota 4Runner.

Ferruz 11702 Posted August 9, 2020 Didn't have much time for rc these last few days, but I kept working on upgrading the Manta Ray whenever possible. A proper maiden run in the brushless configuration still hasn't happened, as it's waiting for a facelift to also be done. Thought I might do that as well while in the process, even though once it's all neat and tidy again it'll be harder to run it instead of shelving it. But as we all know, RC is an existential journey I did find the time for a great bashing session though: not today but yesterday, I brought the Hornet to the "Badlands"! Nothing better than a few piles of sand and gravel to fly the little stinger. I really had a blast and will definitely go back there to run it again 👍

It now has rear suspension and shocks . Started work on the nose cone. Its getting there but its all being done by hand, no 3d printing here just good old balsa wood and sanding sealer!!! Whilst working out roughly what the rear suspenion should look like I searched the Manual on the club website. I got quite a shock when I looked at the last couple of pages. I have a full set of Stickers from MCI in 1/24th scale so was looking at where they go when I noticed the colour scheme. Now I thought they were all French blue and white.. To my amazement the colours are Yellow and Red??? Have I been wrong all these years or were there several schemes?

There are some shells that lend themselves to nice simple colour schemes, and I think this is one of them. All the swoopy curves are shown off to good effect. •Axle 145 Posted August 9, 2020 First trip to the beach today (pebbles). The front bumper has been definitely seen some action now and the rear alloy arms have been kissed by a few stones. Fantastic bobbing action, really need a Go Pro or something, the GF01 kitted out has become a very good everyday runner. 👍

Manix92 121 Posted August 10, 2020 Last couple of days really been getting on with cleaning, replacing and rebuilding the TA-03RS Lancia 037. So far done the front end, who knows what awaits on the rear end.
Champ85 609 Posted August 10, 2020 Started masking a repro body from MarwanRC for a vintage Kyosho Turbo Optima that I got from an eBay auction 7 (!) years ago and rebuilt last month. Planning on using Tamiya metallic red, white and black and following the box art layout. Here the window masks were applied and white is masked off first: I do not enjoy the masking process. I enjoy it even less when more than one color is involved. Three is my limit and this complicated layout is really trying my patience.
