I fitted a different style front bumper to my Scorpion, and rear wing mount (in place of the original wire setup which I had previously bent in a roll-over accident).

and found some unused rear Proline tyres (very soft!) from 1990-something to put on the rims for a quick spin

Peeled back the protective film on a Honda CIvic Type R3 body, making it look like the four door version as i prefer the grey trim from factory.

Last picture is a pre production hard model by honda design

WIP :)

That was fast. Didn't you get this just a couple of days ago?

The kit is very simple with the parts bagged in order of assembly.  Instructions were clear, and zero spare parts. You could throw one of these together in just a few hours.

Managed to get some sticker time, so finished up the Guilia body for my M08

Need to decide on whether to blacken the grill, find some new wheel nuts and locate two B15 parts. I’d made it up in SWB format prior to this body, so not used the parts. While I’ve kept all the spare sprue parts, these seem to be missing. Must have cut them off as there’s an error in the manual, hopefully they’ll turn up in a parts bag somewhere. I’m going to attempt magnetic body posts again too, as the rear posts don’t line up too nicely.

Bouyed by my reasonable success with the Guilia, I made a start on the yet to be build M07 body

Told to myself these will be my last RC purchases for a while, at least until I'm done building the new kit...we'll see

Yeah, quoting myself cause it's worth it... I said that this morning.

Turned out my lady needed some paint to start off her 'Cuda static kit and, as I'm a good partner, I couldn't keep her hanging... so on our way out of town we "had" to stop at the LHS to get paint, brushes, and more paint. Of course at that point I had to piggy back and get myself some more paint and brushes... but as I said this time it's not my fault :P

Bonus: instead of a bag, the guy gave us the goods in a nice Tamiya TS paint box, which I appreciate! I'll sure use it to store spares.

Here's the loot

Well, having come home from Postal Racing with 2 batteries close to storage charge. I discover that some how the second battery I connected to the charger was actually charging it. So with it almost full again I stuck it in the Blackfoot and run it around the garden to bring it down again.

So that has now resulted in a new personal best of running 4 cars in one day. Result 👍🏻

Went through some old storage boxes to find this Porsche and a Renault R5 I've had stashed for a while.  Found the Renault was knocked about a bit, and now needs some more parts .. see my trade thread.

Installed the lights

The lights are controlled via aux channels 3 & 4 using a light switch board connected to the receiver.

Went to glue some tyres for my M07 and found out my thin tyre-specific glue is now a slow thick glue that I can barely squeeze out the bottle.  I can't complain too much since I've put on a couple of winter weight kilos as well.  I guess the lid wasn't tight enough or something.  Good excuse to go into the local hobby shop and buy a couple of things while I'm there.

it really needs a clean but can’t be bothered! It’s a general fun runner not a show queen

A silly question but is that not a bit heavy for "cheap" servos?

Well it’s £8 quid whereas cost about £23 for equivalent from uk shop. It’s true kg rating is nearer a 13kg servo though I would hazard. It is extremely fast & accurate however so makes an excellent steering servo for regular runners (ie not a race car). You can’t get anything close to it in terms of price / VFM if buying through a uk shop.

it is similar to the Power HD 13kg from uk model shops.

Had a few hours spare today so started the grasshopper, I was pleasantly surprised about the build complexity, I thought being about the cheapest Tamiya  it’d be really basic with fewer parts, but it wasn’t as basic as I thought,

not sure if i should paint the roll cage parts or not..

Replaced 3mm offset "Watanabe" wheels with a staggered set (4mm front, 7mm rear) and tires, with tire stickers for added effect on this Fairlady..

Took the day off today, school holidays and can't expect all the grandmothers to look after my kids every day for two weeks. Was browsing the usual for parts, found a seller selling the M03/TL01 quick release battery holders for $7.50 each, thought "that's cheap.." so bought the remaining stock. 🤷‍♂️
