Today I finally stopped procrastinating.

Can I do a build-thread of this even though it's not Tamiya? Is that allowed?

This is PS38 Clear Blue with PS48 Anodised Aluminium backed in PS5 Black B)

I'd love to see a build thread for this as I passed over it in favour of the Losi Raptor RTR. Nice colour by the way.

Put to good use some unexpected free time by taking my first shot at the postal racing.... with a monster truck :P I couldn't go get my buggies so I tried with this anyway.

Soo much fun, I feel like I've been actually racing now eheheh.

Can't wait to do more and with a more suitable car (though I'm curious to see how the old Boss will do against the F1s! Half the laps, maybe? Lol)

Here's a shot of some warm up action, with seasonal central cone for the occasion.

3rd effort for this weeks Racing by Post, the track is starting to form in the garden with all the grass being ripped :D

Then this evening I got the M07 finished, bar deciding on whether to attempt magnetic mounts, or just stick with ol’reliable body posts.

Work on the XV01LDS continues. I put the LD's on; GF01 hopup units. I sized the stroke to be exactly the same as stock for now, and using stock springs until the TRF ones arrive. I just really wanted to see something resembling a road-going chassis already!:

Just finished a driver using Tamiya parts for a Kyosho Javelin build I've been working on. I didn't like the supplied driver. This is sort of my first full driver/scale model work and I realized I like working on it. I also wanted to make the Tamiya man look a bit younger so I re-worked the face just a little bit (he's on the left side). I always thought he looked a bit tired. I used racing white Tamiya TS spray for the helmet and acrylic paints for the rest, and some customization. Now I wish I have an airbrush and a place for it.

Amazing result! The hardest thing to hand paint is always a person's face. Good job! ;)

Beer fixed it

Its funny, my bbq doesn't light unless a beer is opened.  It makes cooking breakfast on it fun.

Absolutely - I did a build thread for a scratch built yacht which is far less Tamiya...not even Tamiya paint!

L and L models have the Mondeo body in stock.  Shipping is 15 quid!  They don't remove VAT either, so it'll be the best part of $100 for a body.  For the shelf.  Our onroad cars don't get run much unless we're racing as its so much easier just to run in the backyard with the buggies.  May have to rethink this.  My Top Force body from Tony cost about half that delivered.  What to do...especially since I need to do some major repairs to my son's R33 Skyline body (he pretty much destroyed it on the weekend but hopefully enough shoegoo and fibreglass tape will make it last another day or 2!) and my TA07 body took a beating too, plus I need a race body for the FF04.

I like the ol’reliable posts more.

my questions is about the tires choice, they are very gripy but 55mm diameter. Is it mandatory for the Mazda 2 body or was just your choice?

I know my abarth berlina corse must have 55mm tires (thank god pit shimizunslicks are 55mm)

Also I have a question for you, if those dampers were fully raised, what would be the ride height?

asking for a friend of course...

You’ll get a nice cardboard box as well with the body for your $100 @Jonathon Gillham to hide any incoming hop ups in.

I heard Kiwis were tough, but beer for breakfast, that’s Bear Grylls tough that is.

It was always funny when my son was younger, he had no idea about appropriateness of drinking in the morning and would bring me beer whenever I started getting the bbq ready. He doesn't anymore. Over summer I would bbq breakfast most weekends, big hotplate made life easier and very little cleanup.

Wait, he doesn't bring me morning beers but does cook bacon and eggs in the kitchen so that's a win still right?

Sent the GCH out last night to its new owner and had a notion to do something with my HTC soon 😳

Sitting in the fence thinking about chopping out the M06 or my Wild One next, not quite there yet on either on them, lots on at home and work so it’s not a priority that’s for sure 😉.

Looking forward to the Hop ups I bought arriving as well, not my usual thing 👍

They were just what I had to hand tbh, not sure what I originally intended them for. No mention of tire requirements in the body manual, so I'd expect the 60mm will be fine.

I'll see how it looks when I actually get the body one :)

Pulled the hotshot away from the for sale section I put it on yesterday but I really like the car and I know I am going to regret it if I sell it, I wanted to sell it because I spend to  much on a new project, so now I have to install the esc motor and servo in to it.

I rebuild the shocks from my traxxas rustler 4x4 vxl.

what camera are you using? Asking for a friend

@Fabia130vRS Thanks! It's a bit of an older camera (7 years old), a Panasonic GH4. There are many cooler new cameras out now ;).

I watched your video on this recently as a random push in YouTube  and got some good tips from the painting. I have some spare avante drivers (from accidentally melting a few heads... ) so don’t be surprised if you see posted some poor imitations of your work in the future! Thanks for posting. Great job. I might have to amend my Avante driver with the zip too..

Typed-up a build thread for my Kyosho Outlaw Rampage Pro kit, hopefully it gets approved as I did at least use Tamiya paint...

Here's a sneak preview of my latest progress. I can't decide whether to go full-on sponsorship decals or leave it as it is, what do you think?
