My birthday was today, so I took it easy, had a nice dinner, and met up with some family friends.

I also installed an aluminium center driveshaft and the high-speed gearset on my tt-02 and bought a dual rider from Tower Hobbies since they were 25% off and I had some birthday store credit from them.

Happy Birthday guys!

Not much RC for me these last few days, as work absorbed most of my time and energy...and I need to be fresh and cool to cut the TS body shell, it's one try do or die, so I've been procrastinating ^_^At least I got around to fixing up the Hornet after the skatepark trauma, and since it's once again ghettoliciously fixed I took it out for a little spin. Nothing too hard this time but I wasn't easy on it either, glad it held itself together. He deserves a new chassis all the more!

Glad to see it back up and running! And also glad to see someone else driving these things like they were intended.

Been working on a new-to-me Grasshornet (thanks and happy birthday to @Bash!) and on the maiden voyage today, I managed to destroy the diff gear and crack all the screw holes that hold the gearbox together

I'll attempt a repair before buying new parts, but I'm not sure what glue to use. I doubt normal "super glue" would hold. Gorilla Glue? I'm curious how you fixed that shock tower.

Thanks to a prompt from  @jupitertwo (who I have realised, is not located far from me!) I have ordered an Axial SCX10iii kit from Tamico as one of their Advent deals. Who am I kidding? I was checking the calendar before bed each night!

I've really enjoyed my trail truck build (still ongoing) but would like one that goes together without taking bits back off every time I look at it and just works. The Scx10iii is fully loaded - portals, two speed and DIG options, sliders, body, etc and I'm really looking forward to a relatively involving build.

Taking into account postage and exchange rates / conversion charges, it works out £20 cheaper than the lowest priced UK supplier who may (or may not) have stock, £30 less than the big UK supplier. Which basically equates to free servos for the two-speed and DIG.

It will be going in the loft until next summer to build with el kid.

I could say it is my last RC for the foreseeable but Tamiya might still pull something out of the bag (looking at you, MF-01X Escort).

If the screw holes are the only thing that have a crack in them, superglue will be just fine.

I wish they were the only thing that was cracked. The screw holes seem to be holding for now but has anyone tried to glue a diff gear back together??

Part 2 of the yesterdays idea.

the cable is much tidier now. Not perfect but Id like to point out the detail that the 3rd platform does not have upper leds as to avoid direct in eye sight brightness while sitting around.

Ouch! That looks terminal - I don't know of any glue that will keep that together under load.

That's what I was afraid of, no harm in trying then! Maybe 2-part epoxy or some kind of plastic-weld will hold just enough. The tooth surface and bevel gear holes are still perfect when the gear is allowed to spring back to its normal shape, and the car ran perfectly fine but made a horrible clicking if I gave it the beans (I assume as the gear was stretched out by the torque forces). So maybe I can glop enough on there to be able to hold, and just carefully dremel out any excess so the balance isn't too far off. And obviously now I'm on the hunt for a replacement as well.

Built up a TT02R as a host for this body, and ready for some comparison runs with my TB05.

2C83ED30-B5BA-4A58-A9CD-C561F68D34AF.jpg

kit wheels were a narrow 24mms, so found something fatter to fill the arches, and the 24s suit the Supra better.
I need to look into front body mounts closer to the tb05/ta07 position though, be good to have more running options.

TT02R was a pleasant build, a nice blend of TT02 simplicity with blue bling. Almost tempting to add more, but I want this to retain at least some of its core TT02 character. :)

Today I received another hint as to what Father Christmas is bringing me this year. So far I have been told that it is 2WD, off-road, a Black Edition and of course a Tamiya.

So it could therefore be a Lunchbox, Grasshopper, Monster Beetle, or Racing Fighter, or maybe a Hornet if Black Edition is taken to include Black Metallic. Any other possibilities that I haven't thought of?

I just had to write a scathing letter to the local council.....

I decided that as it was relatively dry, I'd take the opportunity to take a couple of my cars to the local park. I unpack one in the car park, walk to the main gate, where I'm accosted by a little old lady:

"You obviously don't realise that you aren't allowed to play with those cars here anymore!"

"Excuse me?"

"There's a sign there - they are not allowed here anymore."

"Why not?"

"A lady was walking her dog a while ago and someone had one of those things going around the bike track (there's a bmx pump track) and it scared her dog, which pulled the leash hard and pulled her over. She got quite badly hurt by it."

What I said in my head differed dramatically from what came out of my mouth I'm pleased to say - but the letter I just wrote to the parish council was not so kind.

Since when does someone getting pulled over by their dog become the fault of someone other than the person holding the dog? If that dog had escaped and hurt someone - does it cease to be the owners fault now? Is that the society we live in, where a dog has greater rights than a human?

I'm sick of this world - I really am!

Stickers about 2/3rds done, may need some yellow wheels and a roll over bar. This started of as a quick all black basher body for my Amarok WT01 but something seemed to happen along the way???

* Apologies to any German speakers out there if its incorrect?

Found my old 46305 Peugeot 206 WRC Quick Drive Tamiya model.

I got it from a friend who got it new 15years ago. He drove it really little as he went driving on a rainy day and he said the esc went up in smoke.

the servo I found is a Sanwa 1301.

was giving it a nice clean and rebuild today.

was wondering what kind of motor should I buy for this? And was there a motor cover?

what bodies fit on these? Any rwd?

"Schwarzfuß" is absolutely correct. 😀

That is a cool looking truck. I think the Blackfoot livery looks great on almost every truck and make them special.

Great work.👍

I bet they wouldn't ban all dogs from the park if somebody slipped on some dog doings, that hadn't been picked up, and hurt themselves.

What if the dog had been ****htened by a bike on the bike track and caused the owner to fall, would they have banned bikes?

Surely any dog owner with any sense of responsibility would keep their dog well clear of something like a bike track, would they not?

I feel your anger mate.

The country is going to the dogs, it really is (pun not intended).
