Fitted the C shaped 10 spoke M chassis wheels and tyres to the WPL-D12. Actually tyres is a bit of a misnomer as they are in fact 3d printed plastic rings!! Anyway I think they look cool and its amazing fun to drive. @JennyMo you have got to get one of these. With its hard body and separate chassis its just begging for the JennyMo treatment. I'm thinking Hi lift 4x4 chassis and a rust ravaged shell. Just a thought, no pressure!!!!!

Have ordered a bolt on body kit but its on the slo-boat so not sure when it will get here. Will decide on paint colour then but either metallic lime green or pink are in the lead at the moment.

Got as far as Step 5 in my Super Astute and went hunting for the 2mm e-rings. Only to find that instead of 16x 2mm e-rings, Mr T had given me 16x 3mm e-rings

(stock 2mm e-ring in 2nd shot to prove the point)

Grrrrrr

The chassis for my MAN truck I build the past week, and today I build the 3 speed gearbox.

Still a lot of work to do, I almost get to the point that I have to paint parts, but the weather here is almost every day rain, wind and cold, so then I have to wait for better weather.

Ha ha - funny you mention that - I met up with @Pintopower earlier this week, and we talked about doing just that! - ( he has one already of course)

I've also had another idea which I think will work really well too... stay tuned ;o)

It's the wrong "T" brand, but I just took this junker out for the first drive in 20 years :D

Thanks to @Frog Jumper for the wheels and motor! (And thanks to Amazon for all the rest of the missing bits)

My Hornet is still waiting for his chassis transplant, but sometimes I just feel the sudden urge to run it and today was one of those days. I managed to sneak out for a very snowy street run not long before the curfew, nothing too crazy but it hit the spot.

You are doing exactly what you should do with them, out and dive them! and not just on clear summer days. Its so relaxing when you first get out there with 2 or 3 ekstra batteries, sadly the weather went from crystal clear winter -16 to fog and rain/sludd  (very wet snow) here,  its the very worst!.

Great pictures!

Did a flash outing again after work today, guess I'm in total Hornet mode despite the weather lol. The streets and the snow were a bit more forgiving this time so I got to enjoy a full battery pack worth of powerslides in the eerie pre-curfew moments when nobody is out anymore.

20210122-195128.jpgLooking smart without the front bumper! Not for fashion purposes, it's just that the three mounts all snapped off :D reeeally in need of that new chassis, which should be here whenever the pandemic allows (?).

20210122-195101.jpgtires looked beefy with icy slush by the end of the run

So this was my Friday night on the town, evening actually

The Konghead and Dump Truck got a run this morning before it got too hot (for them, not for me, I love the heat).

I came to the realisation that everything is running at the moment, with one exception: the green Spartan is currently without a motor/ESC and with a few new boats on the way (hopefully) I think I'll just call this Spartan a "spare hull" so it doesn't blemish my 100% usable vehicle status!

That said, I'm still eyeing off a few things at AMain so who knows?

Back when the green Spartan was running:

Best way to take your time. I`ve kind of rushed my Volvo and the dry days we did have havent left me with the results i was hoping for.

I was up at the crack of dawn to complete my vintage new build Honda F2.

It was all going very well, till i discovered the blue paint has shrunk and cracked. To repaint means taking if the hens teeth decals, so it is staying as it is for the time being.

That's a shame☹️

Any chance of masking off, sanding and re painting?

Today’s fun was fitting my spare Avante shims to the sand scorcher shocks to stop them leaking. They seem to be working so far 🤞🏼

Forgot to ask, is there much more work in a 6x4 than a normal single axle HGV?

There is a little more work but I think it is not that much because it is on one axle more and some parts.

@Ferruz Quote:Tires looked beefy with icy slush»

Ha!, is that actually what you call it «Slush», thats a ice cold drink for Children here so when i tried to explain the condition here i wrote the Norwegian word «Sludd» in my previous post.

It was a bit better today though, a bit ice on top and not just Slush everywhere, so had a great time and burned 2 batteries with my Agrios, the sun was out to :).

Again Great pictures. Next time i will remember to take some pictures to.

Its a total lockdown in Oslo now, everything is closed, a mutant virus is spreading here. Thank God for my RC cars :)

Ended up buying the Fibre lyte chassis braces, very impressed with the turnaround time. I also picked up the M03 quick release battery retainer and some ball joints to finish up the suspension. I also picked up some aluminium standoffs which I think looked nicer than the plastic parts.

Please stop posting pictures of beautiful boats. I’m only just managing to resist a proboat 23 jet boat, well at least until I’ve sneaked the MK2 Escort in to the house. The boats difficult to sneak!!!!

I will try that, but there is always a step when the masking is removed.

I have had enough of it for the time being, time to move onto something else.

Bought a couple cars on ebay.

A nice looking TT02 and a not so nice looking vintage F1.

Then I just bought an Avante by mistake, I was sure I'd be outbid :unsure::lol:

Been trying to tidy the cupboard of doom, otherwise known as the place where I place RC stuff from the postman that I don't need immediately. So after a while I sort of forget that it's there, not to mention what's there. Most of the stuff stems from advice on here as to which spares would come in handy for Top Force/Terra Conquerer, Avante and Egress. The ball diffs, diff parts etc was an easy fit into a couple of tackle boxes, but I still haven't quite figured out how to store all the parts trees in a sensible manner. Tossing it all back into the cupboard and forget about it for a couple of years is the most tempting, but it would be nice to have some order to the chaos.

@Ferruz I love your pictures, especially those with the Hornet so much that I really think if I should get a Hornet. 👍

Thank you. I am glad my pics make you want to get aHornet, you totally should!! Buying a Hornet is definitely one of the best ideas I've had in the last few years, and some of the hundred-something dollars best spent of all my life. Go ahead buddy, you'll have zero regret :D

Well I seriously regretted trying to do a COLAS railfreight inspired colour scheme on my Cougar.....

I am not joking when I say I started it at 10am this morning and have only just taken the final layer of masking off the wing. Yes, it has taken a whole day to do one wing! I haven't even started the shell yet.

This is the first time I've painted a shell in more than one colour and this scheme is 3 visible colours but the wing required 5 different colours, each with 2 or 3 light coats. Gunmetal backed with black part masked, then orange part masked, then yellow part masked, whole backing in white followed by whole backing in yellow. Approx 15-20 light coats..... It looks great but a whole day of my life gone...... :o

While waiting for paint to dry I managed to install the decals on middle mudlets Thundershot and paint her wing too. Her wing only took an hour as it was silver with the separate end plates in fluorescent yellow.
