😁 I saw a guy on Instagram building one and asked him who made it. It was so nice I had to order one (or two). I've had a Super Hotshot sat in the box for a year and this spurred me into building it.

I saw the chassis a long time ago when I build my hotshot then I was allready tempted to buy one but I never did, must resist:P

Mmmmm, I think you should B).

Looking at that, not sure why you're thinking about a TD-4!

Yep I agree with BC about the build thread, please 😊

Chassis is back together and passed test drive.  The motor is shrink wrapped so I cannot see inside, but I think the commutator is severely corroded.  I can only get about half the usual power of the stock 540 motor.  I may decide to remove the wrap and run it in water if it does not improve over time.

Body took some work to get it to this point.  (you can scroll back several posts of mine to see what it looked like originally).  Going to start brush painting later today.  :D

Since I had my painting tools out, I also redid the spare tire on my previous restoration.  There was a 2mm recessed dot at the parting line that had been bothering me so filled and cleaned it up.   This body was horrendous too when I first got it.

Did a bit more work on the Sherp-esque shell for my GF-01:

2021-06-30_10-02-20

Waiting on the gloss yellow paint for the shell, gloss grey vinyl for the windows and windscreen, the SHERP lettering for the side panels and a Y-lead so that I can run power to the roof rack lights.

Did some overdue maintenance on the F104. Haven't run it in a while, (thought about it a few 'Postal race's' ago) mainly due to my DX3c range being severely limited due to my son breaking the antenna and the new one not attaching to the circuit board properly.

Also while looking for maintenance parts, have been eyeing up hop ups... 😏

Finished the work on the roof of the Lunchbox body, I nay be able to skip over the body filler stage and go straight to automotive filler-primer from a can then touch up after that😲

Considering I started with 2 Lunchbox bodies Monday night, one kit supplied that I screwed up and another that was New In Bag just Monday afternoon, I’m kinda proud of this result so far!

And the roof is now in primer😁

Don’t know why, but that makes it look like one of the LWB and non-extended body Mopar B-Vans now?!

One last roof pic now that it’s back inside, definitely will need some more clean up and sanding before I can lay down the Dodge PXR Brilliant Black Pearl paint mixed by the guy who mixed the paint for my Wild Willy 4x4 build.

Here’s where I modded it for the AMPro lenses too.

Thanks, it’s not as extensive as a couple ‘57 Chevy projects I’ve been working on, but I was aiming for a quote from Futurama with this one;

"When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all."
―God Entity

This is a combination of kit supplied customizing pieces that are part of the AMT ‘57 Chevy kit (minus the one in the black box with the blue car on it) and Bondic UV Resin that I used as filler for some of the work.

While this is 2 Red Plastic Revell Snap-Tite ‘’57 Chevy kits, one of which had a crushed roof combined into 1 “car” with the bubble top that is from a Monogram ‘58 T-Bird that has a variety of custom option parts that were designed in conjunction with the legendary customizer, Darryl Starbird!

A bit of progress today...
Jw2EEbD.jpg

Not sure how long this will take, but I start to be concerned that won't take much of time : it definitely goes faster than what I expected initially. And there is no paint on the roll cage... I'll need to think at what comes next...

Finished the latest M38 today.  This is the “last” M38 I will ever restore.   ..Until next time.    I will be taking a break from the GP though.

This is the side that had the broken fender. More pictures in the latest build thread if anyone has time to look.

are you sure you didnt just switch the bodies on us? it looks like it was never broken off... do you have a parts body that you get all those fixed sections from? you did a great job to fix it and make it look like it was never damaged.
