Cleaned up the shelves today as the TA06’s diffs have been leaking oil! I kind of like my collection it’s something like my 1:1 garage would look like if I was rich!

I would drive the snot out of that 1:1 collection if I had the money ( or a cool Rich friend who let me play with their cars )

During our way back home we stopped and set up camp in a relatively remote place. Before dinner I went for one more bush run with the sandy, battered, by then one-eyed Hornet.

Little did I know that... I should have waited! A special furry friend did grace us with his/her visit after dark, too bad I'd already put away the buggy, an RC picture with this baby would have been another level! 🦊

This was a super cute fox, but quite cunning... She followed me around very closely for a good while, she's used to get fed by random people for sure!! Not much wilderness letf there lol

@Ferruz Nice fun pictures as always!

So are you now able to go back home as in your permanent residence before the construction/repair you had to go through?

@Willy iine thank for asking my friend, unfortunately not at all! The renovation has just begun (...) and we'll be out for at least a couple more months

That is a tough situation.  I hope things go by real quick.   Hang in there!

Today I rapid studied the Egress and placed orders for the car and electronics.  I know I can't place Billy inside, but the car will not be painted drab, so should be okay?

I drove him around my little track in his Beetle to distract..

The Egress is probably my most favourite looking 4wd buggy from 'back in the day' What are your plans for it? Racing?

Yeah, definitely for me too...but I don't know much about the car to be honest.   Mine will mainly be for display, but will drive it around casually for fun.

That is the exact servo I ordered today for the Egress!  One of my favorite servos for my m-chassis too.

Got the Egress running today! Haven't been out with it properly yet but the wheels are turning!

Panic set in as I realised I've never actually painted a shell before!

Then my son got involved and made it clear he doesn't like the box art. He likes the Schumacher Cat XLS so we used a spare shell (I picked up cheap due to a bad trim job) and we gave it the appropriate colour scheme. Annoyed at my band sizing though, totally messed up on the red. Masked the windows as I want to try and cram a driver in at some stage. Decals to apply next. Awaiting some that have been held up from overseas so will use what we have to hand! More pics later I'm sure.

And now with Decals!

Put one of those in my 2wd Stampede and 2 in one of my Wheely Kings, been thinking about a 4th for my 4-Tec 2.0!

Painted the shell first, then build the chassis of MF-01X. It does seem to go faster that way.

I should've stickered before the chassis also. I have a feeling that it might stay like this for a year...

i dont think i will calm down for the next 20 minutes at this point. i didnt have many hobies to pass the time ie its a lie, got 2.5 RC and 5 Gundam kits to do. decided to take out May's Wodom from Build divers re:Rise to pass the time. need to clean a few things of the work table before i dive in there. i decided to check the mail box for any goodies as i have for the past 2 months to see nothing RCmart related. today i saw not 1 or 2 but THREE package slip/delivery notices in the mail box! thats the great news but its a friday and they made the slip today so monday is the big day for me to see all the goodies i ordered a while ago :) :) :) .

this means i got the tamiya self tappers so i can deal with the loose rear gear box mounts to an extent, spare sabre/boomerang parts and related sabre build items. i was starting to get more anxious as the weeks dragged on.

@nel33 I can't seem to understand what your post is saying.  But you have 3 smiley faces so I'm assuming you got good news and you're doing well.

you can say that its the correct asumption. 1 order of SS parts and flysky gt5 reciever made 2.5? months ago, another SS order 1month ago and some needed parts for the manta. the SS parts were hard to track online and caused me some worry if i would ever get the parts in. still bummed that i gotta wait until monday to get the parts but im glad they made it in. i got a few too many hobby related thisngs to do: 2 1:10 bodies, 2 kits and one to fix/finish, several books to read and 4 robot kits to build and paint.  lol i think i need to treat myself like a young kid in the sense that i can only move forward on X until i complete 1 Y hobby task. i got too much backlog among all the hobbies and havent taken many steps to clear/complete each one.

I have 3 bodies that need painting, the sand scorcher, L and L mondeo and a new race shell. I had best intentions to start on the sand scorcher, looked at it, reread thercracer page, wished I had taken @Re-Bugged up on his offer of painting it, the put it away again. I am most of the way through the Mondeo though,  its not perfect but will be good enough to sit over my FF04 when its not racing. Thats assuming there are no paint bleeds etc, its currently blue and i'll take the masking off for the white tomorrow so who knows how it actually is. Should've just done the race shell, they don't really matter as they only last about 4 - 6 months anyway

I wasn’t aware you had refused yet @Jonathon Gillham 😉

I’ve still got my MK1 Escort body sitting around from January. I don’t want to paint that yet as don’t have a chassis for it. But that’s not for the lack of trying, it’s just every time I put a TT02 in the basket I find something else I ‘need’ more so it gets taken out again 🙃

Haha true!

Clearly the Escort needs to be on something better like a TA08...

If it makes you feel any better, the kids did their own thing today, the missus was at work, it was a bright, calm sunny day, and I didn't paint a thing. Pottered my tank about the lounge for 5 minutes and that was it... achieved nothing. ☺

Sounds like a great day, especially that part about being able to go to work. I had the bbq going all day, cooked short ribs, smoked bacon and did a lot of other stuff, just not the rc jobs. I have a TT02B which just needs its new radio set up, and the SS doesn't actually go as i couldn't be bothered finding a receiver. Did solder a battery lead though so it feels like i did stuff.

Was looking for tamiya 53059 tires online, for the Shogun. But got a bit frustrated as nobody except Tamico has any in stock, and shipping from Tamico is expensive for just tires....

I'll try again next month. Already spend enough money on electronics measurement equipment for this month, and since the Shogun body shell is also not finished, there is no rush.

So packed up all left-overs, organised other Marui stuff and found the Galaxy RS I completely forgot about. So next project is in sight, and order a wing and decals at some point....
